>Jesse: AAGLLOO 7C AGLOO +15 15
>Tim: EIIMTTU 8A MUTI +27 55
>Jesse: ?AGLNOR 9D GROAN +22 37
#note not used to looking for the front hooks of OK and missed GRANOLA/ROK!!!
>Tim: EEIIJST F6 J. +25 80
>Jesse: ?AEILLO A8 .ALLEOlI +80 117
>Tim: EEIISTY 10D SEY +35 115
>Jesse: AAMNOQS C6 Q.. +12 129
#note kind of a waiting move, seemed to bingo often enough that it was better than exchanging.
>Tim: DEEEIIT 11E TEIID +24 139
>Jesse: AAIMNOS 12I ANOSMIA +73 202
>Tim: ADEEHIN N10 HA.NED +36 175
#note cool play by Tim, it's not on static top 15 but the pool is tight on vowels so this sims nicely
>Jesse: CDDERWY K11 D.WDY +26 228
#note really want to keep the vowel, hence no DEWY. However with four more Rs to come CROWDY is definitely a better play, dumping another consonant to ensure better balance next turn.
>Tim: ?BEGISU 13C BUGgIES +77 252
>Jesse: CEFRRTT 15F FRETT. +36 264
#note TREYF! I never see that word.
>Tim: BEELNOR O7 BOLE +23 275
>Jesse: CFNORTU M6 CRUFT +21 285
#note I'm blocking random bingos Tim might have if he has the case S, and also reaching into the bag to try to pick up the Z. It's going to be a tough road to win from here, especially after I block the bingo lane - basically just a siege. Since I'm an underdog (about 40% to win) I might want to leave column M open. Q likes AUTO at O12, I think because it blocks cheap MIZ/MOZ/MEZE plays.
>Tim: EENNRUZ M12 .EZE +48 323
>Jesse: AAINOOV 6J VIN.A +20 305
#note it did not look good. I wish I'd been savvy enough to block the Z spot. the alternative here is OVONIC, but I thought it would end the game too fast. I'm trying to turn over tiles and draw AH/EDH.
>Tim: NNPRSUW 14M ..P +14 337
#note I think this is a great block!
>Jesse: AEIOOPR 14D POI +21 326
#note I have a killer move here of PRONAOI at L3, which could win if he has an awkward rack (he is often tight on vowels). With POI my only real path to victory is going out first, which is going to be hard to pull off. With Tim's actual rack, I would've been 3/8 to win. The H is a key tile here even after EDH gets blocked, and PRONAOI gives me a better chance of drawing it. Also, just in terms of tempo, I can choose to be down 2 with 1 tile left in the bag, versus 11+the value of Tim's next turn, so PRONAOI is a no-brainer.
>Tim: NNRSTUW K5 W.NN +14 351
>Jesse: AEEORRV J4 RO.E +14 340
#note surely loses against optimal play, but the idea is to set up some outs on column I, and also threaten CARVEN at L1 for a lot.
>Tim: AHIRSTU 12C AH +30 381
#note he was low on time and sure this would be enough to win. I also had him really low on time so he didn't have time to work out what I was threatening.
>Jesse: ACERV L1 CARVE. +34 374
#note woof
>Jesse: (IRSTU) +10 384
#note Players agreed to a score of 385-381 in favour of Jesse Day, without recounting
