#note thinking iteratively is something I often fail to do in tactical decisions. AXE looks cool cause it saves the O, but it's really really rare that I actually get to use the OXO hook next turn - when I do get to use it, it's likely cause Matthew bingoes elsewhere. OX is a much better version for very simple reasons - it allows about the same average while scoring 10 more on average next turn. AEIKR is a huge improvement, especially with the CDS floaters. Bingo% tripled from 8 to 24, and IKOR isn't a good scoring leave once the big scoring spot gets taken. Setups are also good here, the best being OIK. OIK is nice cause it makes it the hardest for Matthew to take the spot - he still does quite a bit, but TI doesn't take a lot of good hooks and it prevents 7 row overlaps. OX sims best with OIK a few down. AXE sucks

#note really tough position. (A)UK sims best, followed by (O)IK and U(D)O and K(U)DO. UDO is cool to set up the N and K, often one of them will stay open if he blocks. I don't trust Q's valuation of AUK and such 10-14 higher than ROOKIE, cause the sim will not have matthew playing nearly as defensively as he will in reality. EINOR hits the S really well in a sim but the S stays open far less often in reality. this inclined me to make a really aggressive board opening play, since ROOKIE sorta forks the board (the B hook doesn't hurt), opens the bottom and makes the S hard to block. The B hook is better for him than for me in terms of hitting, but it's an extra line and a way for the top of the board to get opened. obv blowing up the rack is not ideal here but I felt like I had to be really proactive or else the board would quickly shut down. thoughts?

#note again the sim hates this, 6 points below the obvious PUNTER. I didn't like PUNTER cause it closes so much and makes Matthew's life easier - especially cause the top left is way easier to block than after PRUTA. PRUTA has the double edged opening plan - keep the space open (bottom, right side (ish), top left) and also immediately keep lanes open. Q says he benefits from the opening far more than I do, but it has to be quite a big difference to make me want to play more conservatively, since I'm down by a lot. The only real issue I have with PRUTA is that it lets him average way more, but I feel like this is necessary at this score.

#note another ROOKIE-type play. super aggressive. possibly necessary. I'm down by a ton now and my scoring prospects are so bad, I want to go all in on the bingo. He does kill me on score here, but he will feel very compelled to take this spot, and at least now I have two big lanes I'm threatening. Quackle likes this second best this time, a few points below 4J ULU, which looks pretty standard. I still like this more aggressive line, as I have been taking the whole game, since I don't believe the sim is accounting for Matthew's defensive play enough.

#note again going ham on the risk. Don't see any reason not to do it, we're pretty evenly likely to hit the spot so I like adding more risk to the game. Especially cause the board is likely gonna die pretty quickly - a play from L1 to L6 will kill things a lot

>jacks: CDIJNNP A1 PIC +48 209
#note kinda tempting to play WIND here, I can draw stuff like PUNJI or PRAJNA or just a better play like PIECED. I think he'll block the spot really often tho, cause there aren't many good bingo lines so this is the biggest threat. WIND wins a sim but only by a few, so I think it's well worth it to play PIC given his blocks.

#note don't think I saw NAN at 2D. I have the case O so I like keeping it for the O column. It's not such a great line, especially cause hitting big scoring plays at O4 isn't easy, but it's still a good option to have. I remember wanting to shed my B, which makes me wonder if I saw NAN. I don't think so though, I think I just liked what EBON did to the board but worried about shedding the O. (U)NBAN was also missed - I wanted to keep the 4 row open, but keeping NOS is a really nice tradeoff for closing that lane - I keep the O and still have the K and 13 marginal lanes to work with. Q really doesn't like EBON. I think NAN and UNBAN might both be better - I wouild probably go with UNBAN over NAN cause the B really messes up my bingo chances, and it sucks to spend a turn shedding a B while having to hold good tiles.

#note haha the highest static play is SENNA keeping QZ. I was getting really low on time at this point after having so many tough decisions. I laid down Q(I) and then took it back because I didn't see a nice way for that to win. I could draw an I for ZIN/HADJI, setting up the S for next turn. I didn't see the setup possibility of ZIN for -ASE plays, which may have led me to play QI. I played NAN because I saw the possibility of drawing an I for QI/HADJI, which would in turn set up my S for O column plays. It's also really hard to block without an S himself (in fact impossible!). I really liked this plan as a thing that could actually win. this is third to xNQ and QIon a four ply sim.

#note not really sure what I was thinking here, just low on time and hoping for something to happen a turn from now (trusting that shedding the Q will be good). I think I need to follow through with the same plan as last turn, play ZE(A)LS and hope for a QI draw. It's v likely a HADJI play comes down by him though, in which case I'm probably better off having played QI right now (but better off being I win extremely rarely rather than extremely extremely rarely). I think i need to play ZEALS or something and hope HADJI stays open.
