>Doug_Lundquist: GMOOR H1 GROOM +34 66
>Johnny_Utah: ?ABEJRW D4 JAWB.nER +88 123
#note Best play! This isn't even the first time I played a variant of this word. I played a natural JAWBONES against Maxim Panitch in Game 1 at the July 4, 2019 Albany tournament.

#note Best play!
>Doug_Lundquist: AIUVX 12E .XUVIA +20 109
#note Interesting play by Doug. This cleans out garbage but could give a lot back because of the E and the L hooks.
>Johnny_Utah: AADEEOT H11 O.ATE +24 169
#note Terrible draw to ADET. I second guessed this play after the game. K10 ODEA for 27 is probably ideal but this isn't a huge mistake by any means. Doug will still be bingoing no matter what as you will see.
>Doug_Lundquist: EINNOPT 10F PONTINE +76 185
#note PONTINE is also available at K6 for 85. Doug saw both spots and liked the board position of this better.
>Johnny_Utah: ACDEEUV L4 EVACUE. +26 195
#note K7 AVENUE for 35 is probably my play. That's pretty hard to see. -10.2
>Doug_Lundquist: ?AEILSS 1H .LASSInE +77 262
#note Oof!
>Johnny_Utah: DGMNNNU I4 DUNG +17 212
#note All of the plays stink. I need to score and keep lines 13-15 open which this play does.
>Doug_Lundquist: ACELOT 2B LOCATE. +22 284
>Johnny_Utah: ELMNNRY 13G M.NNERLY +96 308
#note Jonathan FUCKING Lindh!
>Doug_Lundquist: AEEHPRS B4 RESHAPE +74 358
#note Doug's bingo RESHAPED the course of our game. Now comes a thrilling pre-endgame!
>Johnny_Utah: BHINRST 8A B. +12 320
#note Oh this play! The situation is bleak. I have the case S but the pool is terrible. The only vowels left are multiple I's along with a boatload of clunky consonants. The E is really the only line I can bingo through but Doug doesn't know that. HINRST pairs terribly with the floating Y and the N and the E is row 1. My rationale behind this play was to fish off the clunkiest consonant in the rack and go for INHERITS, which is statistically likely what I will draw into given all of the I's in the pool. The fish at A8 is meant to block ZA for 33. However, I did not consider blowing up the rack. A5 BISH for 53 is a possibility as well although it loses to what is left in the bag as it turns out. K8 HUB I considered too but decided against due to the sheer amount of clunky consonants in the pool. I can't blow up my rack too much and expect to bingo. In short, the Z probably has to be in the bag for me to win and Doug is going to have to draw it. A lot of things have to go right for me to pull this one off. For what it's worth, BA rises to the top on a sim so it looks like I had the right idea on this play.
>Doug_Lundquist: FFIIKRZ L12 F.IZ +52 410
#note Best play! Doug finds his win which scores the most and blocks INHERITS which is the bingo I was fishing for. Even if I bingo for 60, Doug still outruns me with FRIZ. Great play Doug!
>Johnny_Utah: HIINRST 15L .INS +39 359
#note Out of time! This is among the best.I have no wins.
>Doug_Lundquist: DFIKLR B12 KIF +29 439
#note K8 KULFI is better than this.
>Johnny_Utah: HIRT A13 HIT +30 389
#note Best play!
>Doug_Lundquist: DLR 6K L.RD +9 448
#note Best play!
>Doug_Lundquist: (R) +2 450
#note I think this was my finest played game of the day but I did not get a W to show for it. AVENUE vs. EVACUEE was probably my only true mistake and I don't think that makes a huge difference here. 5 excellent games at the Chicago Scrabble club!
