#note Oh man. This play. This is a horrible play on many, many levels. It not only scores 18 less than the optimal BARCODES/BROCADES which I just plain whiffed on, it cements Maxim's opening lead in place. This was sadly the only bingo I could find besides 2F CORRADES which seemed too volatile even for me. To make matters worse, I looked at the pair BARCODES/BROCADES on my phone within an hour before the first match. -18.

I decide to intentionally phony Max and play AMOSITE to the phony hook of THUGGED*. I was about 70%-80% sure this hadn't made it in (although it should be) but I also figured Max wouldn't challenge. He held for a few minutes and let this go.
