>Terry: EOY H6 OYE +12 12
>Will: EIMOOPS G5 POMO +25 25
#note Oddly, POMO sims a couple points behind G7 MOOP, but it's not for the reason I would've expected, which was the big scoring spot created by POMO forming OO. The plays yield similar opponent scores, with POMO actually yielding about a point less than G7 MOOP. The reason is that MOOP gives me a small number more bingos than POMO. The MOOPS hook is more flexible than POMO and if Terry plays down to the triple I get a bunch more bingo lines. I think POMO is a very reasonable choice here and might still prefer it after Terry's OYE; if she has an S herself I can at least try to force her to open a triple lane by playing at 9A.
>Terry: EOTZ F8 TOZE +36 48
>Will: EFIINOS F5 OF +31 56
#note Don't love leaving the 4x lane open but if E11 FOIN is my only way of closing it down without hemorrhaging equity, I'm ok with OF.
>Terry: AVW E3 VAW +34 82
>Will: EEHIINS 3C HI.E +20 76
#note It's either 11E HEINIES for 40, HIVE, or E11 HIE. Quackle prefers HEINIES by a smidge to both and HIE by an even smaller smidge to HIVE. After Terry's first few plays, she's holding something good here, so I can understand the allure of blocking the 4x lane and scoring 20 more points, but I balked at putting both an E and an S out in open space.
>Terry: AAU E11 AUA +10 92
>Will: BEINRSU 12B UNB.SIER +86 162
>Terry: AII C11 I.IA +8 100
>Will: BCDEGLU H11 D.BUG +27 189
#note Quackle also likes 2F BLUDGE and BULGED, which I didn't seriously consider. I did seriously consider B10 BLUDE for 37 leaving the gross CGU and ultimately decided DEBUG's leave of CEL was just too far superior. Sim agrees.
>Terry: DO 4C OD. +19 119
>Will: CDEEEIL I10 CE.E +15 204
#note I saw B10 ELUDE but couldn't bring myself to play it after ODA, and instead elected to block as much as possible with CERE. I think I still prefer it to the better equity plays that either don't block anything or open the board further (2F DELICE, 13H BELIED, ELUDE). Oddly 2F DELICE is even more bingo-defensive than CERE; the row 2 line is clearly the biggest danger for bingos. Obviously, creating the huge TWS overlap on row 1 with DELICE yields many more points per turn to Terry than she gets after CERE, but perhaps after ODA now is the time to make such a play, gambling that she doesn't have scoring punch to hurt me there.
>Terry: ?EENORS 15H .ENEROuS +77 196
>Will: DEILLUX 14N XU +36 240
#note Better equity than B11 LUXE/LUXED and blocks the dangerous S.
>Terry: GLNO 13H ..LONG +18 214
>Will: DEHIILL J10 HI +32 272
#note Calculated risk here. The unseen tiles are really light on Es and there's only one D, whereas after HI, I already hold ED, so I'm a huge favorite to hit the kill shot.
>Terry: GN 14B G.N +8 222
>Will: ADEFILL K5 FLAILED +114 386
>Terry: III -III +0 222
>Will: AJLPRRS I3 JARL +26 412
#note Playing some defense here; no need to play 2A JARL over my play and give up SLID hooking bingos to the triple or anything miraculous with the J in the triple lane.
>Terry: IQ 15A QI +36 258
>Will: APRRSTT C2 T..RP +10 422
#note Vowels are extremely scarce now so I was desperate to keep the only one I had. Sim agrees with THORP, suggesting Terry has almost nowhere to bingo afterwards, but that all of her reasonable places to play will yield opportunities for me to get one down myself afterwards. Another inferior idea to THORP is 10I CHERT, which not only opens a place for her to bingo before I do, but also turns the Y into a bomb with CHERTY.
>Terry: ATV J2 VAT +25 283
