#player2 Sal_Piro Sal Piro
>Joshua_Sokol: EIIMNOX H4 MOXIE +34 34
#note running on two hours of sleep on an overnight bus, let's see how badly I played this tournament.
>Sal_Piro: EILOU G7 LOUIE +12 12
>Joshua_Sokol: AINNRSV 10F V.N +14 48
#note I did not see H11 RAVIN, kind of need to remember that that's a word. This is definitely a mistake even though my chances of a bingo next turn are over 50%
>Sal_Piro: ADIPV I3 VAPID +40 52
>Joshua_Sokol: AINRSUY 4H ..NUARY +24 72
#note Type a note here!
>Sal_Piro: AEK 3L KEA +29 81
>Joshua_Sokol: EGGIMNS 5K MEG +31 103
>Sal_Piro: DEO I9 DOE +13 94
>Joshua_Sokol: GINNRST 11I .NG +8 111
#note I talked myself out of N(AY). I knew that it had the best bingo% of all plays but I didn't like the idea of not drawing a vowel and not blocking (DOE)R, but he may very well have an S or blank here so I don't think I can afford this. Quackle says this is a 10-point mistake, and I realize next turn why that is.
>Sal_Piro: ENO J7 ONE +11 105
>Joshua_Sokol: DIINRST 12A NITRIDS +74 185
#note now I am forced to open a 3x3, whereas I wouldn't necessarily have to do that if I played N(AY). I have to brace for impact.
>Sal_Piro: ?AEHIOS A5 AdHESIO. +80 185
#note extremely lucky that he missed ApHO(N)IES, which I realized in the game.
>Joshua_Sokol: BCEIOPS 2N BO +24 209
#note still in good shape here despite two inaccuracies
>Sal_Piro: BIRR B2 BIRR +14 199
>Joshua_Sokol: CEILPSU 11E PI. +25 234
#note missing (N)UCLEI, damn. Another huge mistake.
>Sal_Piro: TTT -TTT +0 199
>Joshua_Sokol: CELRSUU 9A .ULU +5 239
#note saw this and C9 CUL(T)URE, which I was now afraid to play given his small exchange. But he already missed a 3x3 earlier, I should allow him to miss one again. Best play is actually CUL(T)US C9, which I didn't see.
>Sal_Piro: DENORST E3 RODENTS +71 270
#note once again mistakes leading to me playing right into Sal's hand, Cesar style.
>Joshua_Sokol: CEEHRSY D4 YEH +36 275
#note this over HEY to not give an easy spot for (YE)Z, although that's less important considering that ZA plays at A1 for an easy score as well
>Sal_Piro: TT B8 T.T +11 281
>Joshua_Sokol: AACEJRS O1 J. +27 302
#note was difficult to choose between this and C12 (T)AJ, which as a more active move, hitting way more bingos next turn. However I figured that considering how bad the pool was, a better plan was to try and outscore, especially considering Sal only scored 11 points last turn, so there's no guarantee he will have anything good this turn. Quackle thinks the plays are just about identical, but since a T would be the best letter for me to draw besides a blank, and Sal likely has one if not both of those leftover after a play like TUT, I think J(O) would have to be best here.
>Sal_Piro: AZ A1 ZA +37 318
#note damn, he drew it.
>Joshua_Sokol: AACEERS 13E AE +15 317
#note I wanted to save (N)ACRES for next turn given that it gives him tempo in the pre-endgame, but perhaps I have to do it anyway. Or perhaps I have to make a more active play with AE, like 13C. I don't know, this is hard...
>Sal_Piro: CF 6C C..F +20 338
#note damn it I should have played NACRES

scored as 21
>Joshua_Sokol: AACEGRS 8J .ACRES +33 350
#note yeah, it's bleak now, just have to hope he doesn't have QAT/I draw into a very nice endgame rack. Quackle likes 8J (N)AG, or 3A G(I)E, which I considered, and that makes the game a lot tougher for Sal. This just gives him such a good idea of what he needs to do.
>Sal_Piro: AQT C1 QAT +33 371
#note it was agonizing how long this took. I was certain he had QAT but had just not seen it yet. I was spot-on
>Joshua_Sokol: AEGLOWW 14B WAWL +26 376
#note still, I might have run away with the win if he didn't have a vowel here.
>Sal_Piro: ?FILT O8 .TIFLe +9 380
>Sal_Piro: (OEG) +8 388
