#note Missed WOMB. This has the benefit of not giving back a cheap score. WOMB supposedly increases Speedy's average score by about 10. So I guess this is good.

>Noah: AAEEERX O6 AXE. +33 196
#note Weird turn, I didn't love this play. I also considered WERE (for the XENIA draw, which I think just gets blocked too often), AWARE (or WARE, to keep things more open), APEX, and sort of thought about RAXES. I ultimately decided on this over APEX. Column O is still a good scoring spot, so saccing* seven points to not open N2-N6 didn't seem quite worth it. I didn't think much about REXES or EXES -- in my 2161 iteration 4-ply sim REXES actually gets valuated a bit higher. This makes sense! All the 2+ tiles in this pool that hit the E also hit the A, and the A allows heavy K / Z plays. Adding the R of course also weakens his ability to score by adding another constraint. Cool. His avg. score after REXES is ~40.5 and after AXES it is ~48.5.
>Rafi: DDDEILO K7 LO.ED +30 250
#note Actual rack. I pointed out DODDLE / DIDDLE after the game, which I think Rafi said he didn't see. He chose this over plays on column N for defensive reasons, since AXES suggests a heavy bingo slant. (Rafi actually claimed that I'm slanted heavily toward the blank. Maybe that's true, just purely because I can't have most scoring tiles?) Is LOWED best? It might be. One issue I can see with LOWED is that, even though I probably kept 0-1 point tiles, I can still draw huge scoring plays on column N. Z plays are bad for Rafi, and even N2 - N6 K / H plays don't seem great for Rafi even though he has a 54 point lead. Also, the points / leave of DIDDLE or DODDLE may be too much to give up.

>Rafi: DILT 1K TID.L +21 271
>Noah: CEGHMOR 2F CHROME +27 304
#note The CH combo shines on some boards, but I wasn't impressed By it here, so I chose this over EMO / EGO K10 and GORM 3L. I missed some sweet options: COPRISONER (which probably wouldn't be confident in) and MEGOHM B1. It's possible I am selling EGO / other plays that keep CH short here -- I can draw some good stuff like CHIRMED, MARCHEN, MACHREE, CHIMERA after EGO. MOG 5A is interesting as well, setting up CHARM / CHIRM if Rafi doesn't play to the M, which is kind of an awkward tile. This looks good though.
>Rafi: OY 1H OY +26 297
>Noah: BFGIRUZ 4M F.Z +25 329
#note Thought about some other options, but I don't think I like anything else. On other boards, playing BURG for 11 less could be good, but here? Well, now I noticed FEZ M11, so actually it could be worth it. I also considered F(EN) and IF J5, but those look bad on this board. I also briefly considered FUB / FUG, drawing for GRIEF / BRIEF also. Well, Quackle thinks my play is dreadful. Seeing FEZ now, that makes sense. And yup, BGIRU is just really awful, I am basically guaranteed to have no good options next turn. Bad play. Go for BURG or maybe BUG 5A.
>Rafi: ?ADELPS 13I PLAShED +85 382
>Noah: BEGINRU O11 BU.GE +30 359
#note Didn't really consider DUB. Though I can't hit 7s ending in ING, I can draw some good stuff like GINNIER, GRANNIE, and INTEGRIN. Not sure if DUB's better though. Certainly the E is a better bingo lane than the B.
>Rafi: EGIT 9B GITE +24 406
#note I think Rafi said this kept the blank.
>Noah: IINNNRS 3J INN +10 369
#note Played this pretty quick. I think I didn't think of it until my turn. I considered NICHROME but this looked better. Don't think anything else is better? But could be wrong.
>Rafi: ?AEKNUV 15J AVENU. +10 416
#note Actual rack. We looked for alternatives after the game. Rafi didn't think of SYRINGA during the game -- he wanted to block NUTRIAS. I also pointed out ASTRINGE in the post-mortem. It looks like STYGIAN is the only other possible bingo. We came up with ViA 14H as a blocking move for Rafi, which looks good enough. GYRING seems like the worst case scenario after that, and Rafi has KINE as a response, to stay comfortably ahead.
>Noah: AGINRSU H10 RUGS +17 386
#note I managed to make the optimal play. Forgot about SPLAShED until I had maybe 30 sec left??
