#note OI is nice short term cause it makes the board really S dependent and I have an S. I don't like that the top is getting opened at some point after OI, but that's a worry after (C)IAO anyways. OI could also lead to the top being closed if we make a POI or MOI play going eastward

#note didn't see AVIDLY, which is decent. It sitll allows some big QUE or Z plays, which isnt' ideal.
VAIL keeps a nic scoring leave and is a more sure block.

#note hahahaha after FAE# I was so ready to hit him with a collins only 3, but he out-metagamed me and realized what I was doing

#note I liked how closed this was! it is not a word though, only YOICKS
DU(C)AL is okay. It's hard to play from the C and close everything cause reparallels will often open S hooks.
>shan: EN 13H .EN +13 167
>jackson: ?ADLRRU 13C DURA +15 260
#note there are much better plays than this - DU(C)AL isn't bad, it opens a marginal lane but I think I have to accept I'm not gonna be totally defensive. RUL(E) M7 is interesting, or DURE to not make the OYER possibility. I think something like R(E) in that spot could actually be a decent play just to be restrictive.
this is a bad play cause it opens the possibility of huge -ZES plays! that is a real way I can lose, if he gets a bingo as well. I think ducal or re are okay

#note going for spread, so not VANDA(L) which closes but isn't as good for valuation
