>JD: CHOSVXZ 8H VOX +26 26
#note it's onnnnnn. Quackle loves this. it would probably work less well against a 2000+ player who was used to such shenanigans, but Jen told me afterward she didn't think too much about why I'd placed it weirdly.
>Jen_Lee: OU 9I OU +15 15
#note for the uninitiated, the idea of VOX at 8H holding the Z is that you potentially get cheap 70+ point responses if she overlaps with AX or EX. of course, this play doesn't leave that possibility :P
>JD: ACEFHSZ 10F CAZH +30 56
#note I thought about just playing ZOO, which isn't awful. CHEF sims a hair better, probably because CAZH gives potential huge Z plays to the TWS.
>Jen_Lee: ?AGIILR K9 RAILInG +67 82
>JD: DEFHKPS G9 K.F +15 71
#note this was a "visionary" play. And by that, I mean wrong. I chose between KAF and KAPH and decided the leave of the former (DEHPS) was worth sacrificing 3 points for - Quackle agrees! but I missed the easy star play of FIKED at 13J.
>Jen_Lee: AOTV 15K .AVOT +30 112
>JD: DEEHLPS 12I HE.P +18 89
#note I didn't know DELPH or PLESH. Just playing PEH/HEP is also better. This is bad for reasons that would become immediately apparent.

>JD: AEILMSS M7 AIMLESS +90 202
>Jen_Lee: ADEO L4 ODEA +12 207
>JD: NNORTTT K4 NOT +16 218
#note yikes. I deliberately set up the S hook with SNOT because I wanted a lane to get back in the game if she bingoed hooking AAS next turn.
>Jen_Lee: ERU M3 URE +13 220
>JD: NNQRRTT -NNQRT +0 218
#note I don't know what I had because I didn't bother writing it down, but it resulted in me immediately exchanging. I could also just keep the R in order to give myself one extra shot at pulling an S or the blank.
>Jen_Lee: EEJRS 3G JEERS +25 245
>JD: AEFNRTW 4C FETWA +31 249
#note huge miss compared to just WAFT at 4F, much much worse on defense since it puts the F underneath the double word score.
>Jen_Lee: ENT 3B TEN +18 263
>JD: CILNORS H1 CR.SOL +40 289

>JD: AQ (challenge) +5 376
#note she didn't know STEN
>Jen_Lee: N 11M .N +2 280
>JD: AQ O13 QA. +12 388
#note interesting position. the most painful bingos are on row 1 (CEREMONY, CLOYMENT), which I could block with plays like QI/IURE or AGRIA at N1. Indeed, AGRIA functions as a bit of a two-way block, taking out the C and making column O a little tougher to hit. With that said, I should be able to outrun any bingo with a proper endgame after QAT, and it's definitely the spread play since it maximizes my own chances of bingoing again.
>Jen_Lee: Y 14N Y. +20 300
>JD: AEGIIMR N9 MA. +17 405
#note Q seems to want me to focus more on blocking the C with plays like MIG/IURE or RAMI at N1. MIG also gives me a fair chance of bingoing out, but it seemed important to thwart the easiest spot to bingo.
>Jen_Lee: EILRT E1 LIT.ER +16 316
>JD: DEEGIIR 2L GIE +12 417
#note should start with DIRIGE at B6, she can block DIRE out at B6 by playing NOY/LITTERY.
>Jen_Lee: NOUY 7C NOY +17 333
