In hindsight I would just play ZEX, since I'm not sold on my ability to cash the X or Z for any points if I hold them back (VEX at 8H should ring some serious alarm bells for Dave).

#note I think I have a chance here - Dave's last play strongly suggests he didn't have the S. this play leaves the double-double intact and forces Dave into a block that could be tricky. The other play I could think about here is NIDI at O6, but then it seems that Dave would just block the double-double and still be in great shape.
