>Will: ?ACMOTZ E2 AZOTeM.C +90 90
#note Wow, I badly misevaluated which of METAZOIC or AZOTEMIC would give up more points - I thought responses to METAZOIC from D1 would be at least as dangerous, but I was dead wrong. Making all the good overlapping spots for power tiles is far worse. AZOTEMIC gives up 5 more points per turn to Benjy on average. However, I think Benjy challenged my move, partially out of confusion about why I wouldn't play METAZOIC instead, so I get the 5 back.
>Benjy: FIX F4 FIX +60 88
#note Exhibit X for why I gotta be more careful
>Will: AAAGNSW 3C WA. +30 120
>Benjy: ?DEEGRU I4 GUaRDEE +72 160
>Will: AAGMNOS 11I SANGOMA +79 199
>Benjy: ABEELRS O7 ERAS.BLE +89 249
>Will: AEHINOV D2 H.O +29 228
#note Considered HAO, VAHINE, and 10M OHS, which look like the 3 viable options here - close call. Sticking the V out in space with VAHINE doesn't look great to do, but I'd only be down 10 after that play, so it's not like I'm in desperate need of an open board.
>Benjy: DEEIRST 15I DIETERS +110 359
>Benjy: DEEIRST -- -110 249
>Will: AEINQTV 5H Q.INATE +32 260
#note Burned a boatload of time on this move. QUINATE and QUAINT are the best simming plays against DIETERS that burn the Q; Quackle slightly prefers VENITE 14J, which I considered, and N2 NATIVE, which I don't think I generated as a choice. It's nice to know that Benjy doesn't have any Us, so playing NATIVE and taking six cracks at drawing one of the three left unseen to pair with my Q isn't a bad idea; it also encourages Benjy to bingo with REDIGEST or ESTRIDGE making an S hook for me, if I were lucky enough to draw one.
>Benjy: DEEIRST L2 STE.DIER +70 319
>Will: DEJOPRV 10G JE.P +29 289
#note I considered just dumping the J with HAJ, but didn't expect VAPORED or PROVIDE to actually go down anywhere, so I went with JEEP instead, hoping to make a better opening later. D6 VOW has some upside with a couple draws, especially an A (JASPER 2J, JAPED 10F), but that leave has no upside at all apart from precise draws of that sort.
>Benjy: HU F1 UH +30 349
>Will: ADIORVV 11D VIVO +29 318
#note 12J VOID looks reasonable; nice to score six more than VIVO and make a better lane.
>Benjy: LOU 12J LOU +19 368
>Will: AADORRU 6I .OU.AD +28 346
>Benjy: NNY C3 .YNN +20 388
>Will: ABNOPRR 13J PORN +27 373
#note This pins a lot of hopes on a case S draw but at least PALPI can reopen if I have to. I'm running out of time on the clock at this point.
>Benjy: OS 7C SO. +23 411
>Will: ABDIKRT 14H BRIK +31 404
#note Wish I had more time for this move. My play is too wild/gives too much back. Much better is 14I TIK, holding ABDR - common draws with this pool could be TRIBADE, RIDABLE, BRIGADE, etc. that at least threaten something on row 15, though in all likelihood I actually need to hit something through the S of STEADIER, since Benjy isn't just gonna let me hit that spot. I also had hopes of maybe lucking into drawing AL and outrunning a weak block with TALAQ.
>Benjy: EEF 15G FEE +32 443

#note Shrug, looks pretty doomed.
>Benjy: EGILRT 2I GRI.TLE +20 463
>Will: AADIITY 13C ADYTA +32 446
#note O1 TEDY is two better.
