#player1 Joshua_Sokol Joshua Sokol
#player2 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
>Joshua_Sokol: ABDHOPT H7 PHT +16 16
#note so ABDO is kind of bad and I was well aware of that but I think I wanted some early complications against Jonathan. Quackle says -1.7 to BOTH
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ADLLVX -LVX +0 0
#note in this particular case though, playing PHT was definitely the right idea, BOTH gives him decent playing options.
>Joshua_Sokol: ABDLOOU G6 DUO +15 31
#note I should perhaps continue down the difficult board route this turn with OU(T)DO 9F, but that's perhaps giving up too much.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ACDEIL F8 DELtAIC +74 74
>Joshua_Sokol: AABEILO F1 OBELIA +21 52
#note E11 ABO sims best but I feel like his responses are way too defensive. However I'm not down that much, maybe this was wrong
>Jonathan_Lindh: BDKORTZ 1E B.RTZ +48 122
>Joshua_Sokol: AAGIIMO 2I AMIGO +25 77
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?DEIKNO 4B pOND.IKE +84 206
#note took him forever to play this. I definitely liked this word, but it's phony. He has other valids bingos. I just convinced myself that I was supposed to be losing because of OBELIA
>Joshua_Sokol: AGINOPT 14F .OAPTING +65 142
#note or just take the points...?? I totally spaced on OPIATING. This would have really helped my case.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEEELOS 15H LEE +21 227
#note 15H LEASE seems correct here, take the points and keep scoring
>Joshua_Sokol: ENNRTUW M10 WRUN. +18 160
#note Jonathan was already down to around 5 minutes here iirc so I was playing very fast to try and put him over and make mistakes. I can just play 1M WEN here so as to block the scoring spot but he doesn't seem to have scoring tiles.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIIOSS 11D IO.A +6 233
>Joshua_Sokol: AEFQRTX C3 F.REX +46 206
#note likely better to play D8 FAQ(I)R here but hopefully I can surprise him with a Q play, he's less likely to give me big spots for the X
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEJNOSS 1M JOE +39 272
>Joshua_Sokol: AEHQRTU 3M THE +32 238
#note once again no desire to give back easy scoring spots. This is also a bingo lane and he's pretty close I imagine. Hopefully I can keep going for a huge (E)Q play down the line while he blocks lanes or dinks
>Jonathan_Lindh: CELNSSV K1 L.VEN +16 288
#note Jonathan is definitely feeling the pressure here
>Joshua_Sokol: AAIQRTU 12A QUIT +50 288
#note ok, tie game, now to bingo first somehow
>Jonathan_Lindh: CDFSSSW B11 F.DS +16 304
#note such luck that he has no vowels! I might not even need to bingo
>Joshua_Sokol: AAAENRT B4 .ARA +20 308
#note E1 (B)AN(D)A is the play by far. I know he has all consos so I wanted to force him to use a vowel and set myself up for a bingo next turn or the next turn
>Jonathan_Lindh: CMSSUVW A7 WUSS +34 338
#note luckily Jonathan missed SWUM in the same spot.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEINRT J5 ARENITE +63 371
#note it's best to not take the points here, even though TRAINEE is 70 and (H)ERNIATE is 73. I don't want to leave Jonathan with any spots to score big, lest he gives me a place to score. I was confident this was the winning play, but I was lucky to have drawn into the bingo here after making heavy mistakes all game.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ACIMNSV L4 MANIC +35 373
#note best is 13E V(I)NCA, but it loses by 1.
>Joshua_Sokol: EGORYY D6 EYRY +31 402
#note very much a "whew" game, where I needed to precisely exploit a weakness (time pressure) while getting what I needed at the right time (timing).
>Jonathan_Lindh: SV 11I S.V +12 385
>Jonathan_Lindh: (GO) +6 391
