>Marc_Woo: EYZ 8G YEZ +30 30
>Ryan_Wee: IMNTUVY 7E VUM +21 21
#note I'm always interested to see what would likely be best in situations like this. It's a toss-up between VUM and VI(Z)Y, but by Quackle's reckoning the latter is slightly better -- superior defence and score. I failed to really think about VIZY
>Marc_Woo: ADR 9H RAD +19 49
>Ryan_Wee: AIJLNTY E7 .AINLY +24 45
#note I really should have seen JI(V)Y but somehow didn't. I thought about (D)JIN for a long while, mainly to obstruct the crazy opening he had just made -- and Quackle thinks DJIN is best -- but I still didn't think it'd help my chances much, thus I reverted back to the bogsimple "strategy" of setting up the J, scoring decently, and turning over more tiles.
>Marc_Woo: EIOU K9 EUOI +13 62
#note Thankfully, his pickup was ostensibly poor so he couldn't cash in on the RADE opening.
>Ryan_Wee: DIJLSTU L6 JUDS +20 65
#note Missed JIVY, now flat out missed JUD(Y) too. He held for a few agonising seconds but utlimately didn't pull the trigger... Even as an unchallenged move, JUDS is still so inferior compared to JUDY. Back to studying the 4s...
>Marc_Woo: AHLO 8A ALOH. +36 98
>Ryan_Wee: AACIILT M2 CILIA +23 88
#note geez, 6L (J)AI is sick -- wish I'd seen it. I was just cursing that the last A was not an E...
>Marc_Woo: NQ 12J Q.N +24 122
#note this came down pretty quickly -- understandable
>Ryan_Wee: AEGGLNT 3H LEGAT.NG +61 149
#note should have gone with GELAT(I)NG but I allowed some doubt to creep in
>Marc_Woo: ENORSTT N6 ROTTENS +73 195
#note and it's game on!
>Ryan_Wee: ?EHIRRW B4 WHIR.iER +67 216
>Ryan_Wee: IIOOTTT (challenge) +5 221
#note I looked at the O for so long but couldn't see anything. Blank blindness?! Guess it says something about my...worth...as a Scrabbler. Didn't know WHERRIt either.
>Marc_Woo: IKM H1 MI.K +45 240
>Ryan_Wee: IIOOTTT O10 TOITOI +28 249
#note Punished! Good thing TOITOI was unblockable otherwise I'd be tooting in rage
>Marc_Woo: EGV 10G VEG +23 263
>Ryan_Wee: ?AACDET O1 CA.ED +30 279
#note ACETAMID through the M or I are the only bingo options here. I looked at both floaters for a long time as well and I realy should have spotted it but eventually gave up and figured I could just play an easy outscoring game with the blank in hand.
>Marc_Woo: DENRU A11 UNDER +23 286
>Ryan_Wee: ?AFOSTX K5 FAX +46 325
>Marc_Woo: EEENPRS O7 PE +22 308
>Ryan_Wee: ?BFOOST D12 BOOF +40 365
#note Lucky to get away with this
>Marc_Woo: O L12 .O +2 310
#note a rather yucky unseen from my POV
>Ryan_Wee: ?PRSSTW 5E TWPS +29 394
>Ryan_Wee: ?PRSSTW -- -29 365
#note Nothing -- even an egregious phony -- really loses at this stage.
>Marc_Woo: AABEEEN 4L E. +8 318
#note gunning for the blank with 1 in the bag
>Ryan_Wee: ?PRSSTW 5D WaRPS +29 394
#note Failed to see C10 SPaWS, should have looked harder. Was pretty much on autopilot here, not a good habit.
>Marc_Woo: AABEEIN 4D ABA +25 343
>Ryan_Wee: ST F12 ST +10 404
#note Best
>Ryan_Wee: (EEIN) +8 412
