#note Missed ZER(D)A, would you believe it! For the longest time I was pretty tempted by ADZ -- it scored and I could fish for a few things. But he definitely kept a fancy leave so it might well have backfired. Also, since I had spent seven-odd minutes on LEMONIER, I found myself pressed for time here and just decided against ADZ, in favour of GRADED -- mainly to expedite the killing-off of the board and to retain the Z for future scoring. Discounting the obvious play of ZERDA, I think this is fine.

#note Yep, SCION is the only winning move here. However, he too was facing severe time pressure... Everything happened in a blur: he slammed down COSIN, looked at it for a while, then hit the clock; I blindly accepted it and was still counting the scores and so on since it felt incredibly tight, then when I next looked at the clock, it announced that WB had gone 10 seconds overtime!
He graciously accepted the time penalty and I was more than happy to take the tie -- only my second one in 500-odd games! Quite a memorable game, but indeed an error-riddled one too.
