#player1 Ryan_Wee Ryan Wee
#player2 Eden_Choo Eden Choo
>Ryan_Wee: EGRSSTU -SUG +0 0
#note Obviously GUTSERS is the play here, but I wasn't totally sure that I wasn't misremembering GUSTERS*. Already off to a dreadful start.
>Eden_Choo: ELORVY H7 OVERLY +32 32
#note Opening vertically -- I like!
>Ryan_Wee: ABBERST I1 STABBER +66 66
#note I am now confident about one bingo but not the rest -- BARBETS would be much better, I think.
>Eden_Choo: NRUZ 3I .ZURN +28 60
>Ryan_Wee: GHINNOT L1 TH.ONING +80 146
#note Tile God: "Here, I shall take pity on your dreadful word knowledge and give you something so simple."
Me (seriously but also deliriously): "How do you NOTH* something, and even if that was good, would it take an S?!"

That said, I guess THRONING isn't _that_ bad...
>Eden_Choo: AJK 1F JAK. +45 105
#note Punished for completely whiffing on NOTHINGS, which I would have played in a flash any other (sane) day.
>Ryan_Wee: DILNPST 5I .LI.D +16 162
#note Yep, chickened out of yet another bingo -- was far too drunk to even think of what a SPLINT was, and simply thought I was confusing SPLINTED with SPLINTERED. If I had recalled the front hook of OVERLY, I definitely would not have gone with BLIND which is quite awful but also self-descriptive.
>Eden_Choo: ?AEESSU J7 SEASUrE +61 166
#note After (wisely) deciding not to pull the trigger on SEqUE(L)AS*, he misses the two double-doubles. M7 AUxESES is another good option.
>Ryan_Wee: ELNNPST 12C PLENT. +22 184
#note If he had played through the L, I would have been in far more trouble. Instead, I heave a sigh of relief here and quickly slam down PLENTY.
>Eden_Choo: ACCIW 2B WICCA +39 205
>Ryan_Wee: DEINORS D2 .ONSIDER +74 258
#note I honestly didn't know that ORDINEES had an anagram...
>Eden_Choo: EOXY C11 E.OXY +34 239
>Ryan_Wee: FIOOOPQ B13 OOF +40 298
#note Rewarded yet again for bad play. I decide to just bite the bullet with OOF, since a bingo from him seems pretty much inevitable, and I wouldn't be that far behind even with an 80+ pointer. OOF sims best, for what it's worth.
>Eden_Choo: EEHINRT A7 NEITHER +86 325
#note THEREIN actually would have been much better based on the subsequent plays. I think generally it ought to sim better than NEITHER.
>Ryan_Wee: AAIMOPQ 11J .MIAQ +32 330
#note Yeah, not much to think about here. If he magically drew the blank after NEITHER, I'm dead whatever I do.
>Eden_Choo: AITT 12L TAIT +27 352
#note Incredibly, it seems like Eden has not drawn the blank and is worried that I am setting up for myself. TAIT was perhaps the best he could muster, but it isn't a perfect block.
>Ryan_Wee: ADFIOPU 1A FAP +33 363
#note FOUL was my instinctual preference but the more I thought about it, the more attractive FAP seemed -- the turnover is the same and in a tight near-endgame every point matters. If I don't take that spot, I could very well be hit with VAG or VOM, etc. Granted, there's the bingo threat in Column F but I was more worried about being outrun. Quackle disagrees -- it likes FOUL or PAUL.
>Eden_Choo: AO 4H A.O +18 370
#note This came down rather quickly.
>Ryan_Wee: ?DDIOUW B6 WUD +20 383
#note Hello blank my old friend...
>Eden_Choo: AEEIMRV F7 VERMI. +17 387
>Ryan_Wee: ?DEGGIO 4A DOI.G +9 392
#note Not pleased at all to have chickened out of DOGGIEsT.

Pleased to have spotted one of the lowest scoring 100%-win moves. (This was mainly to block ULNAE, though this would have obviously lost if Eden had been sure of VERMIAN.)
>Eden_Choo: AELU 8L .ULA +15 402
#note No wins for my opponent here, but GULA is second-best after AL(E)E for 16.
>Ryan_Wee: ?EG E11 G.Ek +14 406
#note I had something like 10 seconds remaining so I just played the first thing that came to mind. 2K G(H)eE is best. A scrappy game that I completely did not deserve to win, but I'll take it...
>Ryan_Wee: (E) +2 408
