#note i don't understand why i would start a tournament with the wrong move. i mean i've had days to prepare, yet i made a 3 point equity mistake right on the first move. i remember considering FAYED too but thought COADY was a bit more defensive, PLUS i could use the ridiculous S hook that she might not know? -3

#note sucks a bit to set up an S hook, but hey, i have an S. quackle thinks GROSZ wins slightly more (almost negligible). quackle always likes lower stdev when ahead.

#note as the observant reader has undoubtedly ascertained, i am a bit emotionally challenged at tournaments. although i am playing ok, i spent too long (really, maybe about 5 minutes) trying to talk myself into playing PAWL. of course i know PAWL is a word, but when i'm in the middle of a game, i'm not so sure anymore. despite all that, even though WARD in the same spot scores less and keeps a worse leave, it is very defensive and just kills the bottom left part of the board. so i thought it was ok. but, i was mad at myself for wasting 5 minutes and not knowing my 4s well enough, and this slightly tilted me for the rest of the game. you'll see. (and after all that, PROWL 3J sims the best!) -6.5

>cesar: KLOPSUX D1 UP.... +13 290
#note see? absolutely insane. i completely overlooked the giant X spot. when i get into the zone and something breaks it, i spend a while trying to overcompensate for it. i remember scanning the board carefully but at the same thing not 100% focusing on it anymore. instead, i was just thinking about PAWL and my dwindling time. -19.5

>cesar: IKLOSTX I12 OX +40 330
#note the second time i didn't miss OX, but i also became aware that i had missed it the first time, making me even more tilted!!
>debbie_s: ?EEIRSU 1H .EISUREs +79 283
>cesar: IIKLOST 1A TOL. +18 348
#note now i'm on full tilt and running out of time. although, it's still quite unlikely i'll lose if i just keep the board closed, and that's what i did. quackle likes 10F KERN but that seems a bit dumb. why is it 6 pts better? jeez.
>debbie_s: BB N1 .BB +14 297
>cesar: IIIKNQS O3 INK +12 360
#note insane right? i spent more time looking for a place to dump the Q and i didn't find the extremely obvious 7B QIS. instead i made this weird, bad, bizarre play. -14
>debbie_s: DR L1 .RD +4 301

#note and this time, i saw the Q spot....
>debbie_s: EORTV 15A OVERT... +36 337
>cesar: EEEEHIR 8A HI +26 412
#note due to the ultra tilt (which is also weird because i'm not going to lose this game at this point) it is basically hopeless that i will find the best endgame play. i remember not even considering her rack, and then seeing the obvious misgive/misgave after making my play. -22
>debbie_s: AGIIMSV C9 MISGIV. +32 369

#note 12B EGER is 1 pt better because she doesn't get AI
>debbie_s: A 10B A. +8 377
>debbie_s: (E) +2 379
#note and there you have the cesar experience in a nutshell.
