#player2 Bill Bill
>Dave: AINOP 8D PIANO +20 20
>Bill: AABCOOU G5 ABU.A +9 9
#note This is my first-ever game against a national champion! I'd have three more this tournament!
I'm okay with ABUNA. Didn't know the cute PUBCO.
>Dave: EINORRS 10E ROSINER +69 89
>Bill: AACLOOX H3 COXA +27 36
#note Yeah, COXAL. I saw it but was unsure and didn't want to start off with 9 points and a phony challenged off in the first two moves against a legend of the game.
>Dave: ?HORSUU L5 OUtRUSH +68 157
#note I would think that HUmOURS is best. Possibly a miss? Doesn't seem possible watching him play anagrams, but who knows?
>Bill: AIILOST M11 OIL +11 47
#note Forking the board seemed necessary at this point.
>Dave: AEILTVY N6 VILAYET +87 244
>Bill: AEIRSTV 14G TAIVERS +72 119
#note RAVIEST for 90. Saw it, doubted it. Really can't be doubting yourself on AEIRST sevens. One of several examples from this tournament of why I need to at least study enough to be clear on super-high-prob stuff to be competitive in tough divisions like this.
>Dave: GOY 15F GOY +38 282
>Bill: BGIJMRZ K3 JIZ +60 179
#note JIZ: "a wig". Sure. JIZZ: "the characteristic movement of a bird". Suuuuure.
>Dave: DEILT O7 TILED +41 323
>Bill: ABEGMNR J4 BARGEM.N +81 260
#note Got a "nice play" for this one!
>Dave: QU H12 QU.. +26 349
>Bill: CEEFOTW F5 WO +27 287
#note I didn't do FEW at this point because I thought playing to TWO would be a more effective way to pry the board open.
>Dave: EGN M3 GEN +21 370
>Bill: CEEFHTW 11D FEW +27 314
#note Interesting spot. Didn't know CHEWET, which I would say is definitely best, which seems to be supported by sims. Didn't know WHEFT, didn't know FECHT, knew WECHT but didn't see it, etc. Definitely not WEFT, because it's quite likely that his next play is DEWAX and that just gives him 13 more for it while opening nothing. FEW is alright but I think CHEWET is best. Learn more mid-length words.
>Dave: DE 5D DE... +32 402
>Bill: CEFHRTT 12C HEFT +42 356
#note This is the best thing I could've hoped for here, scoring and setting up the T. Maybe if he has junk I have a tiny chance.
>Dave: ?DENNST B9 DENTiNS +79 481
#note He did not have junk.
>Bill: ACILMRT 4A CLAIM +34 390
#note Game is over, but I'm not sure why I thought playing this here rather than the triple was a better idea.
>Dave: ADEEIOP J13 A.O +6 487
>Bill: KRT 15A T.K +21 411
#note I asked if OK was good yet. Dave suggested I try it.
>Dave: DEEIP A1 PIE.ED +33 520
>Dave: (R) +2 522
