>Jackson_Smylie: AEHNSTY H3 SHANTEY +84 84
#note ASTHENY is a bit better
>Joshua_Sokol: ACGLOOU 4D COUG. +22 22
#note I liked COUG(H) more than GAUC(H)O or COLUGO(S) because it left the S open and reduced the possibility of overlapping plays more than the other plays, to maximize open lines next turn and the turn after.
>Jackson_Smylie: AEIMPRV 6D MAVI. +18 102
#note lots of interesting options here. PAVIN looks a bit better for the leave (with MY open as well), and both mavin and pavin set up 5 fow plays. SPAVIE is also there, but I think I prefer being a bit tighter with my lead, it is a lot of points though so it's close. I could also do VA(N), which sims second to SPAVIE
>Joshua_Sokol: AELORST 10E OLESTRA +75 97
>Jackson_Smylie: DEEFGPR 9E DEF. +29 131
>Joshua_Sokol: AAACEGW 11B WAGE +24 121
#note liked setting up the phantom hook here because he will sacrifice a bunch to block it. This isn't a good play with a lot of racks that don't contain an S. Just happens to be my highest equity besides 11K for 26 which seems to aggressive and dangerous. I also considered CAW but I'm just behind too often after trading 30-point plays down a tempo with a bad leave.
>Jackson_Smylie: EEGNPRT 12A PEG +17 148
#note looks good to block the S hook
>Joshua_Sokol: AACNRRX 13B NARC +26 147
#note now I feel like I can get some nice counterplay with my X
>Jackson_Smylie: EHNNRTU K5 URETH.N +40 188
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEFIRX 12F FlAXIER +95 242
#note AfFIXER is 101 however this doesn't take a hook so it's not too bad. I didn't know AFFIXER
>Jackson_Smylie: ABEMNOQ 5C BAM +31 219
#note maybe BEAM to be aggressive? Also playing an extra tile with the Q in hand is usually a good idea. BEAM might incite some blocks as well
>Joshua_Sokol: EILPTTU 7A PTUI +15 257
#note super weird spot here, I decided to not open anything on the left and keep well while creating a scoring spot on this side and preventing Jackson from ever trying to set something up in this area. I noticed that I couldn't play any significant defense on the right side this turn, so this seemed like a good idea.
>Jackson_Smylie: EIIINOQ 8A ION +25 244
>Joshua_Sokol: EKLRSTU 3H .ULKER +22 279
#note I should be aggressive here and play J12 (I)LK however Jackson's last play scared me into keeping the defense coming.
>Jackson_Smylie: DEIILNQ 5J Q.IN +13 257
#note Want to make extra hooks here that I can use to bingo
>Joshua_Sokol: BDEIOST 13G OBITS +39 318
>Jackson_Smylie: DDEILOW 14A OD +22 279
#note gotta bingo at this point, and tho this isn't great for the immediate turn, I really want to open something up for future turns. I didn't iteratively compare ID and OD, but OD does in fact hit lots more bingoes, especially with an S draw. A slight good thing about ID is that it's harder to plunk at 15a to block, whereas OD allows OY. The immediate bingo advantage of DEILW seems to favour OD tho
>Joshua_Sokol: DELNORV L2 L.V.ED +25 343
>Jackson_Smylie: ADEILTW 4L .AW +12 291
#note goin all in...
>Joshua_Sokol: AINOOOR 5J ....OA +20 363
>Jackson_Smylie: DEIJLST O5 .JIS +33 324
#note AJIS draws 15 row bingoes with OO?, EE?, and EI?, which comprise like 4% of draws. It's pretty likely he's blocking the N column, so I think I need to rely on the 15 row if I play AJIS.
I could also play f2 JEU, which hits the 15 row with OY, O?, Y?, E?, EE, but in fact never hits the O column! I draw those comboes 16/110 of the time (slightly more cause of his range, but not by much), but I have to rely on him not blocking the 15 row - since I'm leaving 2 in the bag, he can drop 1 tile and probably outrun my potential O column bingoes, assuming there are any from his perspective. Optimally speaking, I imagine AJIS is best, but maybe he doesn't block the 15 row always, especially if I draw the Y and his blocks are 6 points?
oy, o?, y?, e?, ee
>Joshua_Sokol: EIINOOR N8 OORIE +9 372
#note this loses to certain draws! I totally misjudged this position and almost lost because of it. I should just play OI N7 and open nothing and keeping my E.
>Jackson_Smylie: DEELTYZ H12 ..YE +27 351
#note I was close to a few winning draws! DELTYZ? and DEELTZ? win, the latter in spectacular fashion
>Joshua_Sokol: ?IN 15B sIN +11 383
>Joshua_Sokol: (DELTZ) +30 413
