#note Spent forever here debating whether or not TERRANEAN* or TERRAREAN* were words. John said he would have let TERRANEAN* go. Only SUBTERRANEAN and MEDITERRANEAN are words. This actually sims best, but I was sure I was missing something. K8 sANTERA doesn't look great because if he bingos back it's a tie game, however it does do good things to the board when John doesn't bingo. It takes out the whole top right quadrant.

#note still really unhappy that I can't get rid of the I at 15L, I make a 2nd inaccuracy. I couldn't seem to find any play at O4, but CREDO and ABODE are there. CREDO is the play. ADER is going nowhere and I really want to get rid of column O for future Z-bombs.

#note here's where I start going to huge lengths to play Scrabble like it was played when I was born. I must play 6 tiles, I must block the O column, the S is pretty useless on this board, let's go for a blank or a Z. I need at least one of those.
This play is obviously not good. And I was aware that I was choking. However it's better than it seems, as he probably has 3 consonants (so there are more vowels left for my consonant), and he didn't have the Z or the ?, so my chances of drawing one of those are significantly higher than average.
