>Matt_Canik: BEEMR H4 BERME +24 24
>Joshua_Sokol: ABDLVWZ 5E WAV.D +24 24
#note this is much more my style than BLAZ(E)D. Sims best
>Matt_Canik: JR F4 R.J +26 50
>Joshua_Sokol: ABELOUZ G5 .AU +22 46
#note he seemed consonant-heavy so I decided not to open anything up and block the E on the board just in case he was sort of close to something. I think this play worked out, but BEZOA(R) would be the play otherwise.
>Matt_Canik: IIIII -IIIII +0 50
>Joshua_Sokol: BEEGLOZ 4H .EZEL +35 81
#note I could continue the trend of keeping the Z with (B)OGLE, but I talked myself out of its validity in Scrabble. This is probably a bit worse because BOG is just bad.
>Matt_Canik: IX 5K XI +38 88
#note :/
>Joshua_Sokol: BCGLNNO L1 BOL..NG +13 94
#note risky because I was only pretty sure this was valid, but it seemed unlikely to get challenged and looked familiar
>Matt_Canik: ?DDIMRU I8 MUDDIeR +65 153
#note seemed both Matt and I were blind to BERME-D. DIRDUMs at 9H is clearly correct
>Joshua_Sokol: CFINOOS H13 FOO +24 118
#note not much else I can accomplish here. There is still time to mount a comeback.
>Matt_Canik: AHIS M1 AHIS +44 197
#note I considered ONOS in that spot. This hurt.
>Joshua_Sokol: ACHINOS N1 HON +35 153
#note An interesting sequence of events follows this play. I wanted to create a lane that couldn't be blocked by (BAH)T, and also to create recurring opportunities to fish for AUTO(BAH)N and INFO(BAH)N, which I was pretty sure Matt would not be considering.

However, there are more plays that fit there that I didn't see! COOLA(BAH)S, COOLI(BAH)S, DJIB(BAH)S, GOOM(BAH)S and MASTA(BAH)S! Wow.

HO has much better equity, but for reasons mentioned, I think this might be a better play. Matt is a board control wizard at times and I can't paint myself into a corner this early.
>Matt_Canik: AEFT J7 FETA +21 218
#note scores 3 points at J12, either placement leaves a D open for business, if you know what I mean. Matt chose not to leave two D's open I guess.
>Joshua_Sokol: ACIINPS K10 PIANIC +26 179
#note this allows me to dump some tiles and force Matt to consider whether he can ever prevent this board from staying open. There's now a clear spot to play, but it will open lanes. I didn't set Matt on a rack that can really do anything huge to me, and I really wanted to start digging for some stuff in the bag. Many plays are very close in this spot, among which P(OR)CINIS for 10 more, which I might have benefited from seeing and playing.
>Matt_Canik: AIINTT O3 TITIAN +25 243
>Joshua_Sokol: CEOSSUY 15K .OSEY +33 212
>Matt_Canik: GINR M11 GRIN. +12 255
>Joshua_Sokol: CILSTUY N8 ICY +18 230
#note board is now quickly becoming a no scoring territory, except I'm still going for a 3x3. If he doesn't score though, I might try (BAH)T next turn and see where things go from there. Otherwise I can always open with LUT(Z) and force Matt to think.
>Matt_Canik: K 6N K. +16 271
>Joshua_Sokol: ?LPSTTU 1L ...T +27 257
#note Things have finally turned around here. It's time to give up on the 3x3s and just play for the win. I hit the D very very often, more than half of the time, and when I don't, I'm well within range to try and outscore or create new opportunities with PUT(Z)
>Matt_Canik: EGR O12 GRE. +10 281
>Joshua_Sokol: ?LPSTUU J1 PUT. +17 274
#note Unfortunately, I now miss PUSTULe(D), which is a clear play by any means. Really should have seen that. Perhaps I wouldn't have tried it though being unsure.
>Matt_Canik: AEL 1G LEA. +18 299
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ELQSUV -V +0 274
#note This seemed very strong, however Quackle prefers 11E LUVE(D) to set up the Q, which is OK because if he blocks the U I have QiS at F2 which should be enough to win. Exch QV is the preferred exchange here. It just works more in general. Matt might also think I'm exchanging the Q, and modify his play to accommodate that.
>Matt_Canik: EEEORST 11B STEREOE. +68 367
#note what do you do here?
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AELQSU C8 QUE.zALS +84 358
#note I just went with what I was 100% sure of here with a little tinge of fancy because QUETZALS. QUeLEAS scores most at 2B. -4
>Joshua_Sokol: (ADNOOVW) +28 386
