#note i don't play enough defense. when there is one lane open, SHUT IT DOWN. right?? i couldn't see many ways to shut it down that don't just suck, but, it's much harder to bingo after (K)HAT. my m.o. here is always to keep scoring as much as possible. HET puts me up by enough that i can outrun most bingos that are not 86 points. one potential problem that i saw with KHAT is something like AQUAE or AQUAS etc, which seemed reasonably likely, at least more than a giant bingo after turning 5 tiles over. Quackle of course likes HET, this is its equity bread and butter, but is it wrong?

#note i was too low on time to come up with a good enough play here. should i keep QU another turn? wtf do i do. i considered 4A QUAIL or 3A QUART (didn't like the latter because of the obvious SUQ). same problem with C1 QUA. my play seems too weak, it just seems wrong. QUA 13M keeps the threat of a big play to the E with a decent leave, maybe something like ROSULATE, idk. -8

#note i seem to have blown it here. i remember very clearly considering FOLIATE keeping SOULS for next turn. however, i was under so much brain fog because of INDAGATE that i don't remember what my decision was and why i didn't play it. i may just have forgotten about it after considering other plays, and never went back on it. this means i should write down plays as i consider them and then check before actually making the play i make. with perfect play, FOLIATE ties the game, but he'd have to block with OE and play AMBO, which isn't obvious.

#note this was an extremely painful loss. i have the most problem with losses where it's very clear that i am doing something wrong, like letting INDAGATE be played, because unlike things like learning more words, i don't see how to "learn" what to do here. i played most of the next game in a completely negative mindset and screwed it up at the beginning, i'm pretty sure.
