>John: NNTUY 8H TUNNY +24 24
>W: ABEELOW J7 E.OW +15 15
#note ENOW, BYELAW, or OWNABLE? I thought that the best plays on a post-ENOW board would play through the Y, giving me a chance to draw a playable 7 or an 8 through the T.
>John: LP I7 P.L +19 43
>W: ABEEGLT K7 A.GEL +26 41
>John: ESZ 12K SEZ +31 74
>W: ABEOOTV M9 BOO.E +38 79
#note BOZO or BOOZE? BOZO scores 8 fewer points than BOOZE, but BOOZE gives a ton of those points back via BOOZED/BOOZER plays, and BOZO bingos 13% to BOOZE's 8%. I would do BOZO if I could do this move over again.
>John: BDNSU 14J BUNDS +46 120
>W: AEJTVXY N8 VEX +58 137
>John: AORV 15G ARVO +25 145
>W: AJLORTY L4 JOLT. +36 173
>John: AEIIRST 14A AIRIEST +70 215
>W: AEINRTY A12 YE.R +33 206
#note This was tough. There were several really tempting alternatives to YEAR (which I thought was clearly better than YEAN due to natural leave synergy, the three unseen Rs compared to the two unseen Ns, and because one of the good lanes on the board is the R at C14 - simulation confirms YEAR > YEAN). M6 AY is such a powerful combination of strong score and good leave, but lets John wallop me on the triple with whatever he draws. On the other hand, A14 AY is a pretty big point sacrifice compared to YEAR, but bingoes an incredibly huge amount (Quackle says 92%) to the tiles of AIRIEST, especially the S, which will often go unblocked. I think these three plays are incredibly close.
>John: ?ADEIMT C7 MEDIATo. +80 295
>W: AIIMNOT M3 MOI +21 227
#note In a normal situation, I would have played INTIMA pretty fast, but I felt like John would block the S of AIRIEST and I would have a difficult time bingoing on the resulting board. At least after MOI I might still bingo multiple times. I could be persuaded that INTIMA is better simply to prevent him from running up the score to the point where a bingo doesn't even matter.
>John: CEIT D6 CITE +17 312
>W: AINORST B8 TO +9 236
#note I had no illusions that I would actually get to play STET here, but I wanted to just slow him down a little so that I could hit my F column bingo and try to draw something miraculous.
>John: EN A9 NE +7 319
>W: AFIINRS D4 IN.... +16 252
>John: EFIK F10 KIEF. +22 341
>W: AAAFIRS N2 AA +8 260
#note Better than not trying at all, right?
>John: ADNQR 4C Q.NDAR +17 358
>W: AFGILRS I1 GIFS +29 289
#note Still just trying to create some space.
>John: CHW G2 CH.W +16 374
>W: ?AALORU 1H A. +9 298
#note Shrug. I don't know 9s very well, so I had nothing in mind here with this fish.
>John: DEGIPRU O1 DREG +31 405
>W: ?AHLORU C1 bUR.A +28 326
#note I went over a few minutes looking for bingos before quickly slapping this down.
>John: IPU 6D .UP +13 418
>W: HLO 12E H.LO +8 334
>W: (I) +2 336
