>Julia_Bogle: EEILNNP 8D PENILE +22 22
#note Before totally screwing me over, the pairings kinda screwed Julia Bogle. She had just lost her game, but had been paired against me the round prior because if she won she had a chance of cashing. However given that she lost, this was just a slap in the face pairing for her, and kind of useless for me too, since spread was not a factor.
Julia provided her racks for this game so I can analyze for her.
PENNI 8D should be standard here but this was perfect
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEGOST F6 GO.E +9 9
#note had a feeling she would somehow block my bingo and not give me an 8. This had around a 9% chance of happening, but I was prepared for the avenue. I cannot afford to tilt in this game.
>Julia_Bogle: AEINNUY 6F .UINEA +9 31
#note 5D YUAN, the Y isn't amazing here, no need to sacrifice so many points to keep it. -15
>Joshua_Sokol: AEHLSTU D5 SUL.HATE +76 85
#note still not nearly out of the woods, this board is not yet in any state to maintain a slight lead on.
>Julia_Bogle: EFMNRSY 5J MY +28 59
#note Julia did not see the F hook on GO(N)E. FERNY or FRY play there and are better in this position. If she sees GONEF for next turn, this isn't a huge loss. -6 or-15 depending on if she sees GONEF next turn.
>Joshua_Sokol: DDLTUVZ C10 LUTZ +32 117
>Julia_Bogle: AEFNORS 4I FERN +25 84
#note a host of plays hooking (GONE)F are better here, but that pesky hook strikes again. FA or FON make the most sense here, even FANO
>Joshua_Sokol: DDIIINV 3H VID +21 138
#note that's a pesky lane she's just created. Not sure if I should do anything about it or if I should play (L)IVID and keep a much better leave. I chose the route that might have worse outcomes in fewer circumstances. In a do-over I might play LIVID. Her rack might be really good here.
>Julia_Bogle: AKOQRST G2 QAT +22 106
#note This is a defensible play. Gotta get rid of the Q, and keeping the S for 12 points (instead of playing M1 QATS) is a reasonable route. B9 QAT for the same amount slows my scoring opportunities down a lot while closing the board down, which may or may not not be the right idea here.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?BDIINX 9I XI +34 172
#note well that turned out ridiculously well...
>Julia_Bogle: EJKORRS C3 JOE +22 128
#note This leave is too consonant-heavy, and the K isn't too great either, so JOKE C2 would be around 10 equity better. E4 JO for 22, keeping the E, which I believe Julia originally laid down, also seems like a stronger option, as E's are getting scarce and are a huge iimprovement to KRRS.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?BDINNS 10J DIB +17 189
#note I totally tunnelled on this spot. E1 BINDS is fine and I missed that. K9 SNIB sims better than my play but I don't know that I would play that over BINDS.
>Julia_Bogle: ABKRRRS L10 .ARK +20 148
#note Although this opens up a spot to bingo in that's hard to block, there is no need for that on this board, B8 KBAR gets rid of more consonants and scores just as much. -8
>Joshua_Sokol: ??HNNOS M2 NOSHiNg +76 265
#note after PENILE I unfortunately failed to find my JOHNSON at 14H. I was now in energy conservation mode preparing for my final two games of the tournament.
>Julia_Bogle: BEORRRS B5 BORER +14 162
#note BRO(K)ER with the same tiles is 16 more, Julia was fixated on this spot.
>Joshua_Sokol: CEFLTWY A8 WETLY +62 327
>Julia_Bogle: AAEGIRS E10 GAE +21 183
#note Keeping the E with E11 AGA looks better, but it's just peanuts at this point
>Joshua_Sokol: CFGRTUV 11K F.G +24 351
#note E1 CRUFT. Missed that spot twice.
>Julia_Bogle: AEEIRSW 14F WEARIES +81 264
>Joshua_Sokol: CPRTTUV H12 CR.P +33 384
>Julia_Bogle: ADDNOOO 3A DO.O +12 276
#note 13E DOO(R) is 8 more
>Joshua_Sokol: AISTTUV 8M .UV +15 399
#note M13 ITS does best, even better than ATT in the same spot
>Julia_Bogle: AADINOO A1 NO.I +18 294
#note she should block the V here, I might have something through it.
>Joshua_Sokol: ACIISTT M13 IT +27 426
#note GUV worked out just like I wanted it to, yet I completely spazzed on BOTH of the playable bingos. -78...
>Julia_Bogle: AADMO N1 DAM +20 314
>Joshua_Sokol: ACIST E3 SIT +31 457
#note 1A (N)ASTIC was missed
>Julia_Bogle: AO O7 O.A +6 320
>Julia_Bogle: (AC) +8 328
