#player1 Noah Noah
#player2 Carl Carl
>Noah: DEEHJMZ 8E JEEZ +40 40
#note My guess was that this positioning best balanced the available scoring spots, so that Carl usually wouldn't get a big score without allowing me one. It wins a 4996 iteration 4-ply sim by a point. I think we'll usually get a pretty open board no matter where I play, but playing at 8G might be the "most closed", making the left side easier to block off.
>Carl: AAACLNT F4 ANAL.CTA +64 64
>Noah: DHHILMW E3 WHIM +37 77
>Carl: DGLOQTU 11D QU.G +28 92
#note Carl said he had this here -- QUOTHA was available.
>Noah: DEHILRU 12A ELHI +38 115
#note Considered HI, ELHI, DUI, and DELI all on row 12, as well as HUED I6. HURDLE I6 is available also. My reasoning was off here. I thought the column B scoring spot after HI was pretty big for Carl, but actually what ELHI gives back is much bigger on average, according to sim results. And DELRU plays great with the JEEZ hook. Big mistake.
>Carl: ?DLNOTT A8 LOTT.D +21 113
>Noah: DIIRSUV H6 VI.IRS +33 148
>Carl: PT 4D P..T +18 131
>Noah: ADEINRU 3G UNAIRED +73 221
#note Also thought about URANIDE 3G, which scores 2 less than this. I thought opening scoring spots would be good with my lead, though UNAIRED also opens bingo lanes. Not sure what's best.
>Carl: ?ADNNOR B3 ANDiRON +61 192
>Noah: ?ABEIKU A1 KUBIE +46 267
>Carl: BDEOO 2J BOOED +45 237
>Noah: ?AELMRT 1L TRAM +32 299
#note Mostly considered TREM / TRAM, also thought a little about LAM and DAM.
>Carl: GOY C1 GOY +30 267
>Noah: ?ELNSVW 4L SEWN +29 328
#note The S didn't seem big enough to go for WEN here. I could also do EN I8, which I didn't consider. Hm, the leave is quite ugly, though I can draw into SWIVELS, and more bingos if he opens some letters.
>Carl: EF I8 EF +39 306
>Noah: ?AEGLPV O4 .AVEL +24 352
>Carl: IIOO -IIOO +0 306
#note Carl exchanged 4 here.
>Noah: ?EEGOPT 1H EGO +17 369
>Carl: AEIINRS 13D SENARII +71 377
>Noah: ?EFPSTY 14J FuSTY +49 418
#note How sloppy. Not only did I not realize one was still left in the bag, I missed STuPEFY.
>Carl: ACOORUX 12J ROUX +28 405
#note Carl should block with URSA here.
>Noah: EIP 15H PIE +22 440
>Noah: (ACO) +10 450
