>Kevin_Fraley: ANOZ 8F AZON +26 26
>Jim_Burlant: AADIORR 9E ORAD +23 23
#note Find a good play, look for a better one. 9G AROID and 9F RAIA score 25 to this play's 23 and are slightly better.
>Kevin_Fraley: ACFNR 10B FRANC +37 63
>Jim_Burlant: AAEINRS H8 ..A +4 27
#note This rack only makes an 8 with C, D, G, and T, so there are no 8's. This is best.
>Kevin_Fraley: GMU 7D GUM +14 77
>Jim_Burlant: ADEINRS J8 SANDIER +76 103
#note Best. Up to just shy of 54% to win in a short sim.
>Kevin_Fraley: ILLNORS D1 ROLLIN.S +72 149
>Jim_Burlant: EEENOTU 1D .OUTE +15 118
#note I was fixated on taking out row 1. TOLUENE 3B may be slightly better here. 1A OUTRE may also be better. A sim says TOLUENE, OUTRE, and this are equally viable.
>Kevin_Fraley: BGOT 13I B.GOT +22 171
>Jim_Burlant: EEEJNQT 12L JETE +44 162
#note Best play, but just shy of 30% to win. For the lower division players reading this, why did I slot the triple line instead of playing JEE? It's not the extra four points on the scoreboard. Believe it or not, slotting the triple is safer than leaving the hook. JEE takes D, R, and S back hooks. If Kevin has any pile of garbage that can hook JEE, I've given him 12 - 14 more points if he can hook it than if I force him to play through what I float. Yes, there's always the risk of his hitting a triple-triple, but that's a much lower probability occurrence than his playing some 4 or 5 that hooks JEE for huge points. Unless you've got an exclusive hook, you don't open easy hooks into the triple lines - you play into them. Don't be terrified of that.
>Kevin_Fraley: IKP 8A KIP. +30 201
>Jim_Burlant: AEEENQS N10 QA. +32 194
#note Hardly ideal to leave triple E's, but I don't have a choice. These draws are keeping me in the game but they're not allowing me to close any ground. This is best, but I've only made marginal progress: 33% to win.
>Kevin_Fraley: EITU O7 ETUI +23 224
>Jim_Burlant: EEEMNSV 2A VEN.M +24 218
#note I debated between two plays: VIMEN on row 5 and this. VIMEN opened up too many easy 7's and didn't score as well. This scored a litle better and took away HA--- plays on row 2. The one thing I might do slightly differently is play VENOMS for 10 more. S is more or less inert on this board and it's probably worth it to play it off given the situation.
>Kevin_Fraley: EGLLTU N2 GULLET +20 244
>Jim_Burlant: CEEIORS A1 O.ER +24 242
#note The best play here is truly sick: O(V)ERSIC(K) A1 scores 54. If, like me, you wouldn't know to look for it, the question is whetehr to play for the bingo or not? I opted not to and chose this. If you don't know OVERSICK, this is best of the rest. Still treading water at 33% to win.
>Kevin_Fraley: AWX M1 WAX +47 291
>Jim_Burlant: CEEHIIS B10 .ICHE +26 268
#note Looking bleak. I put this down to open up. 11G CHIDE scores 4 more, but this wound up being the best play I could make this game.
>Kevin_Fraley: AFII C13 IF +25 316
#note Post-mortem, Kevin told me he had two I's and was toying with FA before he put this down. This choice cost him the game:
>Jim_Burlant: EHINRSS 15C SHINERS +98 366
#note Can someone explain why Quackle thinks SHRINES is best? Either way, this is much better- Championship Player says i'm 67% to win.
>Kevin_Fraley: ADIW 14L WADI +32 348
>Jim_Burlant: ?ABEEIO 5K OBE.I +14 380
#note Best play - My whole reason for this was to block WAXY plays on row 4. This seals the win.
>Kevin_Fraley: OPTV 5C P.VOT +20 368
>Jim_Burlant: ?AEY H3 EAsY +17 397
#note Best is L4 ABBEY for 9 more.
>Jim_Burlant: (?DY) +12 409
