>Will: AAAMQUX 8G AQUA +26 26
#note Where to place this? Obviously, I put it where I did to set up the X, but it sure seems scary to open the double-double lane to both the E and S. But MAX is pretty good on its own, and if I simply draw an I, we're up to a 49 point play in that spot.

>Nigel: ENOTW H10 .EWTON +39 133
>Will: ?ADIRST O1 ARIDeST +94 245
#note I was 99% sure of STAIRED# but ARIDEST seemed ok by comparison - however, DISPART is a findable word that doesn't hang an R out to bingo to.
>Nigel: AAILNRT 14G N.TARIAL +70 203
>Will: BDDILNY 12H .IDDY +26 271
#note Quackle prefers 15M BID and YID to WIDDY, seemingly on the basis of being able to score better next turn with with AXED hooks and unfettered access to the double word score at 11K. Blocking it with WIDDY causes my next turn scores to drop a few points compared to the 15M plays.
>Nigel: EEMU 11K EMEU +25 228
>Will: BLNNOPR N1 BOP +26 297
#note Mostly undoing my ARIDEST micro-mistake from earlier (-OR is still hittable, especially for Nigel).
>Nigel: DHO 15M HOD +28 256
>Will: HILNNRT 11G L.T +16 313
#note Tough turn here. My goal with LET was simply to score as many points as I can on this turn while also blocking SAXE#. Not very inspiring, but I simply couldn't find anything I liked that much better. I missed M6 SHINNE#, which scores almost as well while keeping the much better LRT - I like it. I considered N10 HUN as well, keeping ILNRT, a leave that would rapidly improve in quality with any of the seven unseen Es. HUN is Quackle's pick - it gives me a robust 35% bingo, which is probably not that far fetched if Nigel plays from 8A opening a bunch more lanes.
>Nigel: AOV 8C AVO +15 271
>Will: AEHINNR 7M HA. +23 336
#note No, I didn't try to block here. I really did strongly consider multiple placements of HERNIA/HERNIAS. Nigel's move of AVO is so interesting - what did he have? It makes sense with something like ANRS or NORS. My biggest conundrum was - could he have had an E in his leave after AVO? I don't think he would play AVO over SOAVE, LOAVE#/LAEVO, or NOVAE. It's also worth noting that he played EMEU two turns ago over the nearly equivalent EMU, so the odds that he had another E or at the very least a couple more vowels are quite high. He could have had OVARIAN and AVO would make a good deal of sense. But I was having a hard time putting him on an E. Of course, he could easily draw one of the many Es left, but if he's making a forced opening without keeping an E in reserve, I thought there was a chance I could beat him to a game-ending bingo by leaving EINNR here. Also, if I try to block with HERNIAS and he bingos, I'm suddenly down tempo on a board with few scoring opportunities. All of this led me to pick HAT in this position. However, something I failed to realize is that the pool is so overwhelmingly bingo-prone that I can use a lot of tiles on this turn and still hit a lot of bingos. I get 31% after HAT, a number I trust somewhat because Nigel is unlikely to block unless he bingos himself, and 21% after HERNIA/S, a number I'm not sure whether to trust fully. I'm happy to hear thoughts on this, even if just to scold me for doing this move.
