#note Mike was getting low on time. He probably had about 2 minutes, and we were both very tense at this point. I saw that Mike was likely setting up his Y with BREW. I noticed that his only real Y play is LEYS. My play of BEARD forces him to start over on a new line of reasoning, and luckily for me, the pressure of the moment interfered with his ability to figure out the win, which would involve using both the V and Y with something like VERILY, or even TIVY or VERY. He would have had to check my leave (ALNP), notice my out, count it, and calculate that he could still outrun me by allowing me my out. But that's understandably tricky when you're only winning by 4 all of the sudden and the clock is ticking. Good game Mike!
