>Matt_Canik: ACEEKRR 10A CREAKER. +68 160
>Matt_Canik: ACEEKRR -- -68 92
#note stop playing phoneys matt omg
>Mike_Early: AAES M2 ASEA +24 44
>Matt_Canik: ACEEKRR 7E CRA.KER +21 113
#note If I know RERACK, it plays for 42. Otherwise, I hate most options. I think KE(N) is the best non-RERACK play
>Mike_Early: AEEGHIT 9F HE.ITAGE +65 109
>Matt_Canik: AEEGRTU 8L AREG +24 137
#note I know better than to play AGUE 10C against Mike because 100% of the time, he'll have the V. I debated this and TEGUA 10B for ages before deciding to take the points.
>Mike_Early: MORW 10C WORM +28 137
>Matt_Canik: BEFITTU D10 .UTFIT +20 157
#note cmon matt why are you opening the board??? F(E)EB is a great play, especially given your opponent. Bad bad bad bad bad.
>Mike_Early: DNOO 15D .ONDO +18 155
>Matt_Canik: BDEORUY 2B BUOYED +31 188
>Mike_Early: IIIII -IIIII +0 155
>Matt_Canik: ?EILRTT O8 .LITTERy +77 265
#note But my strategy of averaging 6 tiles played per turn has finally yeilded me a blank despite all the suboptimal plays...
GLITTERy was so scary because QUINOA literally plays for over 100 points afterwards (112!) but I want to knock out the 14 row and the O column at the same time so I'll take the small risk
>Mike_Early: IX N10 XI +52 207
#note phew, that was not quinoa
>Matt_Canik: ADJMPQY 1A DAMP +51 316
#note Would rather eliminate this big threat than cash the Q now with QA(I)D L1
>Mike_Early: INO 3A ION +21 228
>Matt_Canik: ?IJLNQY 14H JIN +21 337
#note Setting up 70 point Q plays
>Mike_Early: EEHW M11 WHEE +26 254
>Matt_Canik: ?DLNOQY 1F YOND +33 370
>Mike_Early: EILNSV K9 .LEVINS +31 285
>Matt_Canik: ?ALOPQZ L2 Z.P +47 417
#note And day 1 is over! I played like a 1650 player today but drew so well that I have no excuse to not be 7-0 in these 7 games. Nationals giveth and nationals taketh away, and my failure to capitalize on these opportunities on day 1 really hurt me once the well of good luck dried up later in the tournament.
