#player2 Matt_Canik Matt Canik
>Dave_Krook: GGLOY 8H LOGGY +28 28
#note Money game at club! Dave and I are both 2-0. Winner gets $10. Let's go!
>Matt_Canik: AKPPRRR L4 PARR. +20 20
#note What a load of krrrrapp.

For some reason I thought PARK(Y) and PARR(Y) would be a lot closer than this, but PARKY is 4 points ahead.

Remember, matt; duplicates aren't THAT bad!
>Dave_Krook: EEJ M3 JEE +26 54
>Matt_Canik: ACKOPRU 2J CROAK +45 65
>Dave_Krook: DFIO 9G FIDO +24 78
>Matt_Canik: BFIPQUW 10J BI +22 87
#note and i'm super confused now. I don't like how BI opens up a closed board, I don't like how it holds QPFUW, but I also don't see many other options. Even exchanging is confusing: do you throw back 5 holding QU? do you throw back 7? do you play BIP(OD) for 13 holding QUFW ? do you throw back 3 and hold QUIP ?
I am still dumbfounded by this turn, but a sim seems to have BI ahead by a healthy margin so I guess I did fine. it does set up the F nicely so there's that
>Dave_Krook: AAH K4 AHA +31 109
>Matt_Canik: EEFPQUW 11K FEW +28 115
>Dave_Krook: ?DEIIOV 10B IVOrIED +73 182
>Matt_Canik: ELMPQRU D9 R.QUE +28 143
#note Another tough situation for me here, as R(O)QUE sheds the Q but leads to a lot of scoring for Dave, takes away a lot of the board's potential to reach the upper-left quadrant, and holds a kind of clunky LMP leave. Q doesn't mind ROQUE but puts PR(O)EM one point ahead. R(I)MPLE is also cool for its forcing the board open. In hindsight, I don't pick this play.
>Dave_Krook: DEENRST O2 STERNED +89 271
#note That's really bad
>Matt_Canik: ADLMNPV 13A PAV.D +22 165
#note Or D(E)V/(BI)D for 20? I dunno man
>Dave_Krook: CET 14D TEC +29 300
#note That's also really bad. It's gonna be hard to get this board open now... I think I have to score points and hit the 65-point bingo in the 7 row to win, so let's turn on the burners and sprint to catch up!
>Matt_Canik: ILMNNSX N7 MINX +36 201
>Dave_Krook: ELU 12L LEU +15 315
>Matt_Canik: AALNOSU M11 ..AL +14 215
#note I feel strongly compelled to hold my S here, as without it I can't hit the 7 row. Maybe I need to burn it and score 32 and hope to pull another one. (WE)AL does basically nothing right - leaves bad, scores bad - except open the board aggressively. I guess that's what I need now, though. Hmm...
>Dave_Krook: IN N14 IN +8 323
>Matt_Canik: ANOSSTU 15A OUTS +32 247
#note With a second S now, I'm happy to score here. OUTS instead of ONUS because there are 3 Ts in the pool but only two Ns
>Dave_Krook: MU 12A UM +14 337
>Matt_Canik: ?AGINNS 7B ANtINGS +65 312
#note ANTINGS has to be the best thing to do here - the R hook is new and it's always a bear to remember what goes there. Maybe I can exploit a mistake, maybe I can draw the R or the Z. If a D were unseen, I might do AwNINGS instead
>Dave_Krook: AELNOTW A7 WHO +38 375
>Dave_Krook: AELNOTW -- -38 337
#note I think it's working!
>Matt_Canik: AABESTY 6A AY +26 338
#note This was so tough. ABEST is nice and balanced and looks to jibe fairly well with the unseen pool. I don't think Dave has the blank after his last play, nor do I think he has an R. My initial gut instinct said to play YA 6B for 28, but I felt like AY was better because if I draw the R then I'm still able to hit that spot hard, but I don't think Dave would risk a second turn trying to hook ANTINGS.
>Dave_Krook: EHOW 8A OWE +29 366
>Matt_Canik: ABEISTT J2 .AT +11 349
#note And once again, I'm at a loss. Really, really wishing I'd played YA last turn so I can bingo with BATISTE or BISTATE. I can make a small play in the bottom former like BA/LIB/NA for 23. Then I'm down 5 with 1 in the bag and it's my opponent's turn, and maybe I can hope for a good pull or a botched endgame?

I also felt like this play was really aggressive, though, and would win if I pull the Z. I don't think Dave had it last turn - though he could have drawn it - and I threaten huge plays on top or IZ(AR) underneath for a lot.
>Dave_Krook: HO 1K OH +20 386
>Matt_Canik: BEIORST I3 BET +22 371

#note And that's the game
>Matt_Canik: IORS H2 SORI +21 392
