#note So this was fun: Jackson set down UNBOOTS/VAGUES (which I was getting ready to challenge), but he picked it up and played BOUT 4L instead.... just one problem, though, as he forgot to pick up the S so he ended up making a disconnected play and playing BOUT/BY but also (VAGUE)S.
Because we were in a casual series, I offered to let him make the real play but he said that he would call me on the same and took the lost turn.
What compounds things further is that UNBOOTS* is a phoney and the actual word in that rack is BOUTONS, which I didn't see at the time but would not have challenged.

#note MEND for 32 was actually getting a lot of consideration from me too - almost any time I draw an E, I get to play HECK at 6J for 46. But the point sacrifice wasn't worth it for a maybe-shot at 46 next turn.
>Jackson_Smylie: BNOOSTU 6F BO. +21 47
>Matt_Canik: ADIKNRT O1 KIT. +33 113
>Jackson_Smylie: NOOSTU N4 .OO +7 54
>Matt_Canik: ADFILNR O6 FILAR +29 142
#note I wanted a word that didn't take an S, but I also wanted to hold the R for VAGUER. I guess I reall don't need both and I can probably just play something like FIND.
>Jackson_Smylie: AINOSTU K5 .AINOUTS +66 120
>Matt_Canik: DEINRUW 7G W.D +30 172
>Jackson_Smylie: ADEEIRV 11E DERIVA.E +74 194
>Matt_Canik: AEINRSU I11 .AU +7 179
#note Should I play AU(K) for 7 instead? it all but guarantees that I'm getting a playable bingo next turn but also leaves a long-term headache of a bingo line open all game - that line probably doesnt get blocked unless someone bingos
>Jackson_Smylie: FOO 10D OOF +30 224
#note And not FOO, which he originally set down. I guess he has a hook and probably an S too
>Matt_Canik: AEINRST M8 ANESTRI +79 258
>Jackson_Smylie: GY J4 G.Y +28 252
>Matt_Canik: ?IMOSTU 8A tITMOUS. +100 358
#note Huge, game-changing draw for me. Jackson is fishing with open lines but I get to score 100 without having to fish :D
>Jackson_Smylie: DD 10J D.D. +20 272
>Matt_Canik: EEEELRW 12C EEEW +27 385
>Jackson_Smylie: EILNNST 14C LINNETS +66 338
>Matt_Canik: ?AELPQR 2N Q. +22 407
#note IF Jackson bingos through the I, then I probably lose the game. Maybe this should be Q(I) at B7 for 11 to all-but-guarantee the win unless he can bingo from that T, but that costs a LOT of spread... but spread shouldn't matter in a best-of-7....? Scrabble is hard
>Jackson_Smylie: IX 15G XI +42 380
>Matt_Canik: ?AELNPR B4 PRAL.NEs +63 470
#note This makes it hardest for Jackson to do the worst-case scenario - bingo and catch the Z on my rack to win the game. It does unfortunately give up big Z plays to him often, but I think I can always survive those, even it I draw 7 consonants.
