>Jack_Overby: EIKLLY 8G LIKELY +34 34
#note We meet again, suh.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AHMORVZ L4 OVAR. +22 22
#note Tough rack. This is just behind (<1%) J6 VOE 14 and lightyears behind (>3%) L4 MARVY, which I should have seen.
>Jack_Overby: ?AEFNOT G1 FONTAnE. +62 96
#note Jon took a fair while before finding this. K6 FALcONET/hALFTONE would have made my life much harder.
>Jonathan_Lindh: FHMSTUZ 1D HUF.S +54 76
#note Waffled between this, HUFF and FUTZ, but ultimately I made the right call.
>Jack_Overby: AAEGINR 4C AERA.ING +70 166
#note Jon strikes again. I'm under 20% to win now.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EMMOQTZ C3 Q.T +24 100
#note Picked this over MATZO for 34 in the same spot. As it turns out, the other MATZO (6K for 36) was the way to go.
>Jack_Overby: DOOP E3 D.OOP +16 182
>Jonathan_Lindh: EMMORUZ 6J ZO. +32 132
#note Best, alongside M2 MUM 18. Very different approaches. I decided to cash in the Z now, while retaining a decent chance of hitting a column D bingo with _UMMER_.
>Jack_Overby: EGLNO D6 LONGE +13 195
#note Curious move. Opening up lanes and hooks for so few points doesn't strike me as optimal given his bingo lead, but who knows?
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIIMMRU C7 MU +19 151
#note Chickened out of IMMURE. I specifically chose this over MI in the same spot, but that turns out to be a sizable error. Looks like I misjudged the relative strengths of EIIMR vs EIMRU.
>Jack_Overby: ADVY C10 DAVY +25 220
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIIMRSW 12A WI.ER +30 181
#note Pondered WIVE, WIVER and WIG. WIG seemed a bit fish and left me minimal lanes. As for the others, IMRS > IMS, but the extra 2 points + new lane pushed WIVER to the forefront. Q approves.
>Jack_Overby: INO A12 .INO +21 241
#note Fortunate that he wasn't able to hit this spot harder.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIMSTW E10 WA.M +25 206
#note Another close call, as I considered WAR, WARM and B14 AW. Mine is the best of those three, but the fishier J2 WAG 15 and 6D LOWn 14 sim a bit better.
>Jack_Overby: CDEI 3K ICED +28 269
>Jonathan_Lindh: EGIIRST N1 RI.GIEST +74 280
#note Bingo. Now 40ish% to win.
>Jack_Overby: EIOPSST 1L PO.T +27 296
#note Dodged a large-caliber bullet here, as Jon knew POSTIES/POTSIES, but not SOPITES, which is all that plays. He's still a slight favorite, though.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEHJLTU O7 HAJ +50 330
#note Duh. I'm now a slight fave.
>Jack_Overby: EISSX 10N XI +39 335
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEEELTU K8 .UTEAL +12 342
#note Super tough play. I feel like these types of positions are what separate the 2100s from the rest of us. I basically considered this, LUTEA in the same spot and 11L EAU. I chose this for turnover. In the end, LUTEA sims much better (38% vs 30%), while the winner is the unintuitive I7 EKUELE 12, which wins 40%. Seems dangerous given the two unseen B's, but it maximizes my chance at getting the blank, while giving me an opening if Jon plays at H12.
>Jack_Overby: BER 12I BE.R +12 347
#note Smart of Jon to block.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEEIRT J6 .E. +12 354
#note Whew, got that blank! Despite frantically searching, I found no bingos that fit. Alas, there were none. This seems pretty clear: Keep one in the bag with a great leave. This is the right idea; I'm virtually guaranteed to win now.
>Jack_Overby: BCDNSSU 11M NUS +27 374
#note Jon plays this, knowingly muttering, "Well, if you have it, you have it..."
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEINRT 15A .RIENTAl +74 428
#note Indeed I did.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (BCDES) +20 448
#note Uber fortunate to pull that blank. If Jon gets it, the game's his. Still not sure if LUTEAL was the best, but it worked out.
With this win, I cracked .500 again. The charge was on.
