#note I figured -ING bingoes would be slightly more likely to happen if I placed OXO here
>Arie: EPW G8 PEW +28 28
>Jackson_Smylie: ?GIIORT I7 GI +10 30
#note not TRIGO cause of the N hook
Which GI to play? I10 seems better for my leave cause I get a more open board, but I kinda liked how dead the board was after I7 GI unless you have an S, and there's a decent chance I can still get a bingo on that board. Although my leave works much better for the I10 GI board, I felt like I was more favoured against Arie on the I7 board. I7 wins a sim by 5 points

>Jackson_Smylie: AHILNTY E4 NAY +22 118
#note this was the start of lots of defense - I strongly considered LINTY, which scores more and keeps a better scoring leave. It does give back more on the scoring front, but not that much more since a lot of his plays through the L give me somethign back. I mostly played NAY for bingo defense - the bottom right will take some work to be opened, so I wanted to keep things tighter on the bingo front. I doubt LINHAY is right but I can see HAY or LINTY being better.
>Arie: ABDEHMS 10G ..MB +17 93
#note actual rack - he considered DAB, but didn't want to give a big spot on a dead board. I like womb a lot - without an S, my life is made very difficult
>Jackson_Smylie: GHILSTT K5 TIGHTS +32 150
#note not lights cause of the hooks
>Arie: ADEEHSW J6 HA +31 124
>Jackson_Smylie: AEILMNO L6 NAM +30 180
#note this is the problem with my hyper defense - if I don't draw great racks like this M rack to block with, can I realistically keep up the defense? if I had AEILNOP instead, I would have to make an even larger sacrifice to not open the bottom right.
once again a slew of better equity options, HOMIE or MINAE, but I wanted to keep the bottom right closed and not give back many immediate bingo options (hence NAM > AM)
>Arie: DEESSUW C11 .EE +14 138
>Jackson_Smylie: EEILOTU F11 .UE +7 187
#note maybe MEOU instead! it doesn't block nearly as much though
>Arie: DENORS 14A REDONS +36 174
>Jackson_Smylie: EILOORT A8 ROOTIE. +24 211
#note could do TORERO to not give back easy overlaps
>Arie: AELZ F2 ZEAL +38 212
>Jackson_Smylie: ?CEEIJL B7 JEE +24 235
#note once again, my defense is working out fairly well, even though Arie has decreased my lead. If I don't draw the blank though, how well does this plan work? probably not very well. Defense seems to work very well when you draw at least decently, but not well when you don't.
>Arie: AGNV G1 VANG +27 239
>Jackson_Smylie: ?CDILSU 1G .ID +21 256
#note maybe JEED here instead. I was a bit worried about LUCID/HIND because of Q plays, but even then I'm in a pretty good position because I have the last hooks for HIND and it's basically unblockable. LUCID is probably the play, doesn't allow bingoes.
