#player2 Ryan_Wee Ryan Wee
>Charles_Carneiro: EIMNX 8H ENMIX +44 44
#note looked fine to me...
>Ryan_Wee: AEGSSTT H7 G.STATES +60 60
#note extreme rust: chickened out of STAGIEST, which was the first possible 8 I thought of...
>Charles_Carneiro: OZ J8 .OZ +34 78
>Ryan_Wee: ADDEHOR 11J ODAH +31 91
#note was considering both HOARED and ODAH, but what I eventually decided on sims marginally better - not that rusty!
>Charles_Carneiro: ALW G11 LAW +23 101
#note some agonising over here
>Ryan_Wee: DDEHJOR L10 H.DJ +30 121
#note I was all ready to play HODJ(A), but this is fine. Sims best once again.
>Charles_Carneiro: GOR M13 ORG +26 127
#note played quickly here
>Ryan_Wee: DEEIORT 15K DO.IE +24 145
#note not so clear this time round - seems like a close fight between DOGIE, DI(R)E/TI(R)E, and just I(R)E. I find the -IRE options too aggressive, so this is alright.
>Charles_Carneiro: MUV 9E VUM. +12 139
#note decent attempt at opening up - inspired me to approach my winning strategy slightly differently...
>Ryan_Wee: EEPPRTU 7K PEP +23 168
#note all this while I was honestly thinking things like ENMIX-ING OR ENMIT were legit
>Charles_Carneiro: BC F8 C.B +13 152
#note ...and apparently he WUZ fishing for an I for ENMIXING***!!!! Thankfully in the process he helped kill off the opening he had created, making it easier for me to engineer my win
>Ryan_Wee: DENRRTU 14B RETURN. +25 193
#note no surprise, this sims best, and anyway the rest are too hard to think about.
>Charles_Carneiro: ELOV C11 VOL. +14 166
#note claims to be still fishing for that I, and once again helping me with my plan...
>Ryan_Wee: AADILQW 14M .AW +21 214
#note now I was in no hurry to dispose of my Q, and I saw it as a greater priority to block up the board - I could always play 14J QI if I had to later
>Charles_Carneiro: AEGNRST N1 GARNETS +78 244
#note however he finally draws something decent, complicating my quest to close up the board
>Ryan_Wee: ADEIILQ O1 IDEA +35 249
#note Mr J Goutham, who was spectating this game, gave me a sort of befuddled or bemused look after I made this play, presumably because I played it so quickly without even thinking of dumping the Q. I stand by this play because it 1) scores more and 2) helps block up the board. However I actually failed to see IDEAL, which would have ben far more ideal...
>Charles_Carneiro: AFIR M2 FIAR +32 276
#note also I misscored IDEA by 3 points fewer...
>Ryan_Wee: CEILQUY I6 QI. +17 266
#note Quackle has just taught me that PEPSI is good?!! Had I known that, I might have chosen ICY but I really liked this play, although it's not even on Quackle's static options... I really imagined that I had the best shot at winning on a closed board so I committed to that vision
>Charles_Carneiro: ATU E9 .AUT +18 294
>Ryan_Wee: ?BCEELY 15A YE +17 283
#note had to take out the TWL now that I had achieved what was more or less a closed board
>Charles_Carneiro: EEIINOS J5 OI +17 311
#note always a good sign when the opp tries to open up a closed board
>Ryan_Wee: ?BCELRU K2 CLUB +24 307
#note LUREX is a cool word I wish I had known. Before he played OI I thought CLOUT would be best, but afterwards I just had to play CLUB to semi-block
>Charles_Carneiro: AO D12 OA. +14 325
>Ryan_Wee: ?EEIIRY 14J YE +16 323
#note didn't see 10L, but was enjoying this slow struggle
>Charles_Carneiro: FIKS N9 FISK +22 347
#note I honestly think emptying the bag was unnecessary here, and certainly the losing move in this instance...
>Ryan_Wee: ??EIIRT 3D InERTIa. +58 381
#note this was the last game of the day and I had no chance of winning anything, so four points more was really nothing to me -- just played the first thing I saw. Suppose I was slightly lucky too since if he had drawn the other blank I would have found it harder to prevail in the ensuing tussle...
>Ryan_Wee: (EELNNNO) +14 395
