Player 1
#player1 Ryan_Wee Ryan Wee
#player2 Jeremy_Khoo Jeremy Khoo
>Ryan_Wee: AAIIIRU -AAIIIRU +0 0
#note I started the game by experimenting with an uncommon way of drawing tiles (which basically involved placing the bag behind my head) to see if it would make a difference - looks like it did, but not in the way I wanted it too! Changed all in frustration
>Jeremy_Khoo: MUX H7 MUX +24 24
#note opening like Nigel - I was already shivering
>Ryan_Wee: GHINOPT G6 PHO +25 25
#note This time I drew 'normally' and it seemed to go pretty well. Chickened out of POHING and I honestly did not see HOPING. PHO sims best though
>Jeremy_Khoo: AADHNOU -5 +0 24
>Ryan_Wee: DEEGINT I8 TINGED +24 49
#note defo agree with Q's top options of XED (did not see...) and MUXED (did not know). I'm not sure what my thought process behind TINGED was, but I think I was quite unhappy with having 'nearly there' racks so I wanted to try something 'radical'. Opponent mused that this was 'interesting', presumably because it gave him a 45pointer response
>Jeremy_Khoo: AETY H12 YATE +45 69
>Ryan_Wee: BEEIRRU G11 URB +23 72
#note I had already arranged REBURIED :( must have jinxed myself
>Jeremy_Khoo: AJT F8 TAJ +30 99
#note starting to suspect that he has both blanks and an S now for some reason...
>Ryan_Wee: AEEGIRV 9C VEG. +12 84
#note Was at a complete loss as to what to do here - intially thought things like GIVE could work out, but then a bingo would leave me keeling. Did not see VEGI(E) at the bottom, which I think I would have gone for
>Jeremy_Khoo: OY J10 YO +29 128
#note his rack must be REALLY good by now
>Ryan_Wee: AEIIIIR K8 AIERIE +26 110
>Ryan_Wee: AEIIIIR -- -26 84
#note Either exchange or play AERIE - that's what the dilemma ought to be. Instead I just had to choose the best time to phoney something so bad
>Jeremy_Khoo: DEFOS K9 FEODS +32 160
#note I'm assuming he drew into the F and something so fortunately for me he didnt have a double-double to really crush me here. Still, I knew it would take quite some effort to muster a win from this point onwards...
>Ryan_Wee: AEIIIIR -AIIIR +0 84
#note I seriously do not know what possessed me (or might have been an accident) to change all but IE instead of ER...
>Jeremy_Khoo: ACLO C9 .OCAL +20 180
#note goody, more bad pickups!
>Ryan_Wee: EEGIILM D12 MILE +24 108
#note one mile at a time...
>Jeremy_Khoo: KO L11 KO +27 207
>Ryan_Wee: EFGHILR 15A GHE. +24 132
>Jeremy_Khoo: AQRUV D5 QUAV.R +24 231
>Ryan_Wee: ABFILRT E3 FLIRT +42 174
#note so begins the great comeback...
>Jeremy_Khoo: EIORTUW C6 OE +10 241
#note I'm sure his leaves were all as good as could have been, but the Tile God just wasn't with him that day...
>Ryan_Wee: ?AABLOS J2 BALbOAS +71 245
#note 3A BALA(F)OnS scores three points more, but I'm not too bothered by having missed that - besides, whether that's the 'better' move is debatable
>Jeremy_Khoo: AIRTTUW -4 +0 241
#note troubling indeed

>Ryan_Wee: ?ADENWZ 3H WE.ZANDs +92 337
>Ryan_Wee: DIIIINO (challenge) +5 342
#note confession: I did not know that WEAZAND could be spelt without the extra A. The extra 5 was some consolation though
>Jeremy_Khoo: EIINRSU N3 .ISINURE +63 304
>Ryan_Wee: DIIIINO L3 .IDOI +12 354
#note erk, all the Is coming back to haunt me. Q recommends changing, but I was just flustered at this point
>Jeremy_Khoo: PTW B4 TWP +26 330
>Ryan_Wee: AAIINRS A8 ARAISIN. +80 434
#note haha
>Jeremy_Khoo: CEENNRT O10 RECENT +35 365
>Ryan_Wee: N 5D ..N +12 446
#note can't believe I won this
>Ryan_Wee: (E) +2 448
