#note My first rematch of the tournament. A second straight game opened where I go second with a rack that could bingo if the right letter is floated...and is totally inert if it isn't. No 8's play in this so the only question is how much to give up for the sake of rack building. With only 17 points available for ION I6 I didn't like the unbalanced IOS leave. I'd be more inclined to take the extra 8 points for AIS? instead of IOS?. The duck agrees - this is best.

#note Blanks are great...but man, they can also make things hard when there are this many choices. It's either this or K2 AcINOSE...or 10D SENOPIA or EvASION...you get the idea. Lots of good choices.

#note It's funny that this happened when this did. The night before, David Pearl and I were talking about when it was right to let something stick you knew was phony because it gave you something back as opposed to swatting it off. Sitting on this rack, it was sooooooo tempting to let this stick because he gave me a place to come back with AGLYCONE...but I knew UNWATERY* was no good and I figured I'd let him sit on that UWY combination another turn. But the joke's on me - I didn't know AGLYCON was a 7 without the trailing E! AGLYCON plays on row 6 for 74. If you whiff on the bingo this is as good as anything else.

#note Phony. Not recognizing that I had the legitimate LECITHIN J1, I put this down confidently, but not because I thought it was good. In our first game he lost two turns challenging my legitimate words and in this one I have swatted two of his phonies off the board. How willing was he to risk losing a fifth turn in two games? Not very, as he didn't even flinch when I put this down.

#note Not entirely sure this was my rack but it's the only thing that made sense in light of what I played here and what I played next turn.

#note I'm guessing I missed D1 plays because I wasn't looking to give him easy extensions. This opens up the A column if he has an S or O, so this isn't very smart on my end. REgardless, still thisclose to officially being over per the duck. 99.86% to win.

#note I actually took a while here. The bag is down to two and he's threatening both SURLIER/SOILURE on row 14 and BROILERS on row 1. I felt I should just max out the points. FAVE N12 scores 28 and is better here.
