>Mina_Le: JOY 8G JOY +26 26
>Rob_Robinsky: ACDDHIP 8G ...PAD +21 21
#note Basically sims even (2-ply) with 9E CHAD, but I think I prefer this play for a couple of reasons. CDHI has more synergy than DIP; the leave is worth about 5.5 points more in a vacuum. CHAD leaves me vulnerable to both the S hook on JOY and underlaps along row 10, whereas JOYPAD extends the board. If Mina takes the S hook, CDHI can work well with the floating vowels. I am at the mercy of my draw when it comes to responding to parallel plays after JOYPAD, but it's more difficult for Mina to completely clog up the board.
>Mina_Le: LOPU 7H LOUP +23 49
>Rob_Robinsky: CDEHIOS 6I CHODE +48 69
#note The value of the DEIS leave after HOC compared to IS nearly makes up for the 11 point difference in score on the sim, but I don't think it's that close against a human opponent. This CSW-only word might elicit a challenge, and it looks like a spelling of a colloquial slang word so it might be pluralized by an opponent who hasn't seen the definition (archaic past participle of CHIDE). The chance to get a free turn on a deceptive S-hook gambit is worth a fair amount.

#note Best.

>Mina_Le: ETTX L10 TEXT +46 151
>Rob_Robinsky: ?ADEIKU 12A KAID +38 231
#note C9 KUBIE looks to be a bit better for leave and bingo potential next turn, as well as complicating row 12 parallel plays and not slotting a lucrative consonant in the triple line. Should've seen it.
>Mina_Le: ?NOQ A8 QuON. +51 202
>Rob_Robinsky: ?EEELTU 13D EUsTELE +62 293
#note L3 ELUDED is a cute play, but taking the bingo is better; after EUSTELE, the board shape is constricted enough that even the QUONKING extension will leave me a tempo and points ahead.
>Mina_Le: AFT H12 F.TA +33 235
>Rob_Robinsky: AACGLNN 14B CLAN +19 312
#note Despite leaving NG with six I's unseen, Quackle approves of blocking the extension and complicating the floating A.
>Mina_Le: EEOTV L1 VETOE. +28 263
>Rob_Robinsky: ADGIINR B2 GRADINI +83 395
#note Not only did I draw the extension I just blocked, I drew a playable bingo with it. Luckbox.
>Mina_Le: EW N10 WE +30 293
>Rob_Robinsky: AAIMRVW 1L .IVA +30 425
#note Sims even with O11 VARIA, which I didn't actually see over the board. Even though the O column is the easier bingo line, VIVA eliminates the nightmare triple-triple possibility. I can survive a bingo, but no need to be reckless.

>Mina_Le: EINNRRS 2B .RINNERS +61 361
>Rob_Robinsky: FGMNORY H1 F.OM +36 507
#note I ran out of time looking for plays to block both URAO and AUTO/OUTA, which is a shame because 4H GRYFON is a beautiful way to do so!
