#note this was a deliberate attempt on my part to create a hotspot that could allow me to catch back up (my win % is around 20%, according to quackle). I could also play something fishier like AITU or EAU at either 10J or 13M. seems like a tossup.

#note I thought about trying to find a way to block LAUREATE now that I'm up, but all of my blocks like GIGOT score nothing, leave crap leaves and set up new lanes. GUPS might be a little better than BUGS because it sets up nice BUTE/BOO?/OP overlap plays, but becky could also use that spot too so it's not a huge diff.

#note tough play after she blocked PEG. Q likes POO but I think the success of that play depends on becky opening the board, which she won't do in practice.
>Becky_Dyer: AERSTV F6 VA. +14 447
#note she put down VERST and picked it up so I knew her leave was ERST
>JD: BEGNNPT 7I G.B +13 471
#note ideally I'd block both columns C and D, but I have to conserve my only vowel or I will get outmaneuvered in the endgame. I chose GIB because she very likely has an I and column K is the best scoring spot on the board if she misses her bingo. GIB blocks HYSTERIA at H1, but allows THRISSEL and SISTERLY on column D (SMYTRIE and HIRSTIE play on column C). the question is whether I gain more by playing BAG or BAP to block 10% more of her bingos, or whether I should be blocking. the thing is that if she takes QI I can reoverlap with my N, so I now think I should've blocked the L, which would turn those endgames into a tossup - so roughly a 5% loss of win percentage.
>Becky_Dyer: EIRSSTY D2 SISTER.Y +72 519
#note as it turns out, she had one of the bingos I could've blocked! she didn't leave the Y last turn (she would've played STRAYVE) - I guess she likely had ERSST at the end of last turn. given my actual draw, I likely would've won after blocking!
>JD: EIMNNPT C3 MIEN +26 497
#note MISPEN is best - this gives her a better out
