#note And this is where it all falls down. I draw the other blank, and I start scrambling to find a bingo. The only thing I see is O7 COGnaT(E)L(Y), and I highly doubt that it is valid. But I start weighing my other options next to the remaining tile pool and the score, and it really looks like it might be very difficult to come back into this one. I spent a huge amount of time trying to talk myself into playing the 9, but at the end of it all, I figured I could set up something almost impossible to block later on in the game, as it was going to be hard for Leesa to score on this board. I figured I had a couple of turns left before I needed to make something happen. But the pool is awful.
I also missed K1 OCT(AN)GLes and C10 TO(M)C(AT). This is the first instance where I really destroyed my chances of winning the tournament.

#note Quackle suggests K11 D(A) for 6. I have absolutely no idea why, but I'll assume there is absolutely no basis for that play. I played this to try and fork the board with DI(G) next turn or the turn after. This draw was definitely really bad for me.

#note perfect, now all I have to do is hit a miracle bingo in two spots, or draw into KINDRE(D) after she makes a weak block and outscore. This was a really good position to steal a game. Instead of this, if I play off my N, an S draw will give me SKIDDOO/GO, but I doubt she would allow that to happen if she can do something about it.
