#note I didn't write down what letters I exchanged here, but it was 3 heavy consonants

#note I missed D6 LA(M)IA(E). I kind like that. I played this because if I don't end up hitting a bingo, hopefully I can benefit from hooking my L onto A(M)IA. I hit a bingo 70% of the time after A(M)IA
>Jerry_Lerman: GNNORW 12H .NGROWN +22 157
>Joshua_Sokol: ?EILNOR K6 LORINE.s +64 163
#note I should probably play I2 NEROLIs now, since the H1 hotspot complements the A12 hotspot, although much easier to hit. Unsure. I sure as hell spent forever on this move and last, making sure I wasn't missing something else
>Jerry_Lerman: AEKL A12 KALE +46 203
>Joshua_Sokol: DDEETUX D11 .X +36 199
#note And this is where my tournament fell off the rails. I realized I had missed (R)EDUX a turn too late. I have similar averages for next turn, but I'm scoring 6 fewer right now and allowing Jerry to do whatever he pleases next turn.
After realizing what I had missed, I lost my focus for the next few games and started to make rash decisions. I saw that this seemed to score the most I could ask for and hit a bingo with a few specific draws, and couldn't see anything that hit 8O. I will never miss REDUX again, mark my words.
>Jerry_Lerman: ACGO N10 CO.GA +28 231
>Joshua_Sokol: DDDEETU E3 DUDE +14 213
#note J2 DUETED is clear you might think, but I had a feeling Jerry had an S, and figured I couldn't bounce back if he had a big play on row 15. This is the kind of rash decision I am talking about. I feared for the shape of the board after DUETED, but I needn't worry about that.

#note hoping for another good draw here, I need it.
>Jerry_Lerman: AEHS 8K .HEAS +36 277
>Joshua_Sokol: OTTTUVW O13 OWT +26 279
#note that last play struck alarm bells all over, I need to hope Jerry has drawn poorly, and I need to block his S-hook on CONGA, and I need to hit the V-hook on IRID next turn. Still, things are looking rough. H1 WOV(E) keeping TTTU is a play I would make if I didn't have a V-hook on IRID.
>Jerry_Lerman: AY M12 .AY +35 312
#note ugh
>Joshua_Sokol: INTTTUV L2 TUTTI +12 291
#note 7J T(O)UT is just so much better than this. I totally tunnelled on this play. I'm protecting the S lane of (R)HEAS, keeping a decent leave if I draw an E, and keeping a vowel, protecting me from one-vowel draws. He is probably vowel-heavy here.
>Jerry_Lerman: EFIV A1 FIVE +42 354
#note So frustrated.
>Joshua_Sokol: DJLNRSV B2 D.RLS +24 315
#note I was very low on time, I had mistracked thinking all the I's were gone, so I went for JUVENA(T)E hoping he would block the S, or JE(T)ON or something if he plays down from H1. But things are far more dire. Jerry is going to make a very good play regardless of what I do. I need to play H3 V(E)ND and go for (F)RIJOLES or a 2J play if he opts to block the F. But V(E)ND serves as a way to fork the board and ensure he can't make a play to or through the T at 2L to block most everything. He is more likely to block the right side, hence why I'm going for FRIJOLES
