#note 12H U(N)WORN. I saw I almost had UNSWORN and still didn't see that. This is a huge mistake

#note I've used up a lot of time thus far. I wasn't very sharp in this first game and I knew I had to take longer to find good plays. Missing UNWORN was awful, but at least SWOUN made sense for board dynamics. If he has a D to hook onto SWOUN I have the S to re-hook onto SWOUND.
This play is also positionally strong, as I shut down the possibility of Jason scoring bit down column O or getting a cheap score down column M, despite the awful II? leave. EIDE also opens a lane I can hit later
>Joshua_Sokol: IOVZ L4 VIZO. +34 250
#note not able to prevent him from scoring though
>Jason_Li: ?DEFIIU 14E U.E.IFIeD +75 236
#note figured this would slide but that it was also a word. Nope. Phony disconnected 9s are fun!
>Joshua_Sokol: AGKMNOS 15L MONK +48 298
#note he said this was his leave, so MAKO here
>Jason_Li: ABCHMOT 13L MACH +36 272
#note N1 COMB looks pretty good actually, but I guess he's too likely to have a good scoring play there.
>Joshua_Sokol: AGO G5 AGO +11 309
>Jason_Li: ABHOPTT N1 BAHT +25 297
#note really pissed off to not have a 5 at H1 to make it close. I know he has the S and vowels, so I'm trying to create a diversion which allows for me to possibly outscore him while keeping a decent leave for a possible bingo, but things aren't looking amazing
>Joshua_Sokol: AAEEGRS 1N .A +12 321
#note he hits a lot of stuff with this, but I think H4 AE makes the most sense here to block scoring plays and leave one in the bag anyway
>Jason_Li: ILOPTTV H1 PIVOT +35 332
#note I had no time left to really think too much, but this seemed obvious. He doesn't have the Y so I'm going for the outscoring route rather than the bingo route. I didn't think PIVOT(A)L would be enough to win, and it isn't. It would have saved me some spread though
