#note GOBIES and SHOGI are worth considering as well. Tough call.
>Laurie_Cohen: GJOS 15F JOGS +50 180
>Nathan_Benedict: ABEEOOS 7G ABO +19 232
#note OBOE gives me a better leave and draws one more tile with both blanks unseen, but scores 9 fewer points. VOE 4L also worth considering since I have the case S.
>Laurie_Cohen: CDDEI 15K DICED +33 213
>Nathan_Benedict: AEEEORS 4J OA.ES +16 248
#note Yeah, I know this looks crazy, but it blocks the easy bingo line, and the S isn't really doing much for me anyway.
>Laurie_Cohen: AMX 13L MAX +28 241
>Nathan_Benedict: DEEIRRT N11 DE.I. +26 274
#note RETIED O10 is 5 fewer points but 2 more tiles. Another tough call.
>Laurie_Cohen: LOT 3M LOT +16 257
>Nathan_Benedict: EEIQRRT 12F QI +24 298
#note I really struggled between this and RAGE K3, closing the board. The problem is that RAGE only puts me up by 24, which is far from a sure win even if she doesn't bingo (although admittedly having a 24 point QI play to go down next turn helps a lot). FWIW, Quackle says I should've played RAGE--it wins 67% to QI's 43%, although that doesn't take into account how Laurie will actually play in response, such as opening up the line again with a play from O1, or PLED.
>Laurie_Cohen: EHNPRUY K3 Y.. +7 264
>Nathan_Benedict: EEPRRTU 7F T...R +9 307
#note I have to block HEREUNTO, but there's another threat that this fails to block. Do you see it?
>Laurie_Cohen: ??EHNOR O12 HiN. +34 298
#note Best, and winning, surprisingly. Do you see it?
>Nathan_Benedict: EENPRU O1 PE. +15 322
#note REP 6L is one better. Have to be careful not to play PE 2N, which loses to OvER 1L. However, Laurie has a winning play that neither of us saw.
>Laurie_Cohen: ?EOR O6 fO.ER +7 305
#note OvERRIGID 5E wins! Tough find. And this is why I needed to play either 6E URP or E5 EURO instead of TABOR two turns ago.
