#note I believe DAWNINGS is new to TWL16. I wouldn't have tried it in a TWL game because I thought it was CSW-only.

#note wow, sick 9 available!
>JD: EELOSTT 11D TO. +12 140
#note he didn't spot BRIGADIER last turn! I also considered POET on this turn to set up S-beginning double-doubles, but chose TOY instead. this is a mistake due to misunderstanding leave strength - ERST to EERST is an upgrade of 2-3 points, but adding an E to ELST is neutral in a vacuum. in this case in particular I don't have a lot of consonants to bingo through that would really help the leave (like an R in better position).

#note was beginning to get worried about board dynamics, especially if he blockings rows 4-6. ideally I would see DUE/DAWNINGS. Failing that, this might still be overkill, but I'm down enough that it creates my best threat on the board, and one that Matt may have to sacrifice points to block in future. A more sane way of doing this is to play BIDE at 12A, or DE at C13 (although the latter doesn't actually help me bingo that much). The alternative would be blowing up the rack with ELUDE at 1K, but again, I worry that it will wind up crippling a potential comeback against a strong strategic player like matt.

#note holy cow, VARICOSIS and VASOTOCIN are both available here! to his credit, matt mentioned after the game that he had been eying the possibility of VARICOSITY

>JD: DEHISTT M1 STIT.HED +93 264
#note seemed better than SHITTED because it sets up a giant X play for me to cash, and keeps my strongest lane on row 15 open.

>JD: EEIIIOS -EIIIO +0 264
#note should keep IS, not ES, due to pool (no more Is left in pool, 4 Es unseen).

#note keeping ELNS instead of ENS would double my chance of bingoing.

#note no time, should block JET with MINUS for 13 extra spread points.
