#note The pairings didn't seem right here. Jackson and Cesar were one game ahead of Joey, and Joey was one game ahead of me, Max Panitch and Juraj. Juraj couldn't realistically get 3rd unless he made up for 500 spread points and won while Joey lost. They paired Joey against Jackson (could have done Cesar) to give him the opportunity to win into the finals, which made perfect sense. But then they paired 4th vs 7th and 5th vs 6th (me vs. Juraj), which didn't make sense to anyone I talked to. I think I should have played Max to control my destiny as much as possible. If I beat him, I go ahead of him in the standings and take 3rd place if Joey loses. In this case, he can win his game and get 3rd if Joey loses, even if I win. So I was not really in a good state of mind, not hopeful about cashing, because they only paid 3rd place. Still, I wanted to win by a lot.
