>Joshua_Sokol: CIPRRTV H6 CRIP +16 16
#note This seemed pretty reasonable and automatic, but after thinking about it during my next move, I realized it might be better to exchange here. My leave is norrmally fine, but after CRIP, VRT is vitually useless; no scoring spots are bound to be open, and I'm just giving Ben so many hooks. Quackle likes keeping CIRT here, followed by CIPRT, then CR. I would have kept CR. Interesting. SCRIP, CRIPE and CRIPS are not fun things to give back with such an inflexible leave.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AUY 6F YU.A +17 17
#note as it stood I gave Ben a decent tile dump. Damn. My play was a 2-point error according to Quackle, but it's pretty clear that I shouldn't have played it upon further reflection.
>Joshua_Sokol: ABNNRTV 8G V.BRANT +13 29
#note I didn't like 5E VAN at all, despite it scoring well. BRNT was pretty awful, considering Ben is likely to open up scoring spots next turrn. He also may not know VIBRANTS. After VAN it's really easy to fall behind. This is apparently another small mistake, but even Ben's next play doesn't convince me of that.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: ?DILNRS K4 LaNI.RDS +82 99
#note N2 dIRNDLS is 85, but Ben didn't think VIBRANT took an S.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEFILNR M3 INFLA.ER +76 105
>Ben_Schoenbrun: IIIII -IIIII +0 99
>Joshua_Sokol: EGIIIKN I8 .IKING +21 126
#note L3 KI seemed more automatic, again, but I didn't want to set up an S hook that I didn't have now that I am in the lead. Same would go for INK(L)I(N)G. This also set up an S hook, or so we thought, but it's much easier to block and won't remain there the entire game.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: OOTZ F2 ZOOT. +37 136
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEIIMO J8 .EI +21 147
#note was weird between this and G2 AMI, but I chose to take it slow and not open anything new. Quackle concurs this time at least.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AQST 14F QATS +47 183
#note There was absolutely no way I was going to challenge this, given what I had just drawn. But it seemed a tad off, despite my thinking that it was good. I thought all sports took an S, but I guess BIKING isn't a sport, it's CYCLING and MOUNTAINBIKING*...
>Joshua_Sokol: ABEIMOX 15D OXIME +66 213
#note yup, 66 points. BX draw from heaven.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AAG 13G GA.A +19 202
>Joshua_Sokol: ABEEMPV G1 VAMP +36 249
#note He doesn't seem likely to have a big play from the V after GAGA, so I didn't even consider anything else.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: AJOT 12D JATO +29 231
>Joshua_Sokol: ABEEHHT L11 HEATH +35 284
>Ben_Schoenbrun: FOW 15L .OWF +39 270
>Joshua_Sokol: BDEENOW 1G .OWED +36 320
>Ben_Schoenbrun: DEO 2I ODE +23 293
>Joshua_Sokol: BELNRTU L3 BUR +25 345
#note getting good stuff to counter Ben's relentless scoring.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: DEEGIIY 11E YE +22 315
>Joshua_Sokol: EELNSTU N1 LUNES +25 370
#note His last play really surprised me. I was worried the whole game about him getting (VIBRANT)LY down, but he just played his Y off for seemingly no reason. Except he just opened a very marginal bingo lane and the fact that he played off the Y completely blinded me from seeing that. Luckily, this is still the right play, since it outruns a lot of stuff he might have now. But what's worrisome is a setup he might make next turrn.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: CEINS 4E C.. +7 322
#note he laid INC(OM)ES down and then realized it would empty the bag, then as expected, played this.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?DEEETU D1 DUEs +26 396
#note another draw from heaven as I can now block the S-hook on COP This is the best I can do though, since SUETED* isn't a word. I really wanted to play that to block any bingo he might miraculously have on row 10. Luckily he can't hit anything on row 10. I wasn't sure but I looked for around 6 minutes at the pool to find something, even though I knew INES was part of his leave and that he would need to have an R in 5th position. I was slightly relieved to see nothing.
>Ben_Schoenbrun: EGINORS O1 ONES +35 357
#note I blocked SIGNORE. Whew. 1A SNI(D)E is 1 point better
>Joshua_Sokol: EEILT 1A ELI.E +18 414
>Ben_Schoenbrun: GIR 14B RIG +11 368
>Ben_Schoenbrun: (T) +2 370
