>Joshua_Sokol: ORTTTVZ 10B VOT.R +18 118
#note this was a particularly odd position. I could play V(I)ZOR J4 for 19 more and keep three T's on my rack, I could play J4 T(I)Z for 32, or I could play this. It seemed like it was better to play VOTER keeping TIZ because my options after TIZ really don't improve unless I get an E for H1 VOTE(R), but that's a spot that's likely to be taken by Michael. I didn't need to be so hasty and paranoid here, but again, keeping the Z is underrated. I am cool with this play.
>Michael_Fagen: LLPS C9 P.LLS +20 97
>Joshua_Sokol: AELMTTZ D1 ZETA +56 174
#note seemed better than MAZE(R), slightly, but more so after a play like POLLS, where Michael seems to have an unbalanced rack with another S. Unfortunately he keeps jabbing back.
>Michael_Fagen: GIR 1A GRI. +42 139
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEELMT H1 AMEE. +24 198
#note Quackle very slightly prefers B1 (R)ETEAM here by win percentage. Michael's rack is probably decently balanced at this point, since GRI(Z) came down immediately. In this sense, (R)ETEAM somehow seems viable. This was not a bad play. It simply had a bad results orientation.
>Michael_Fagen: AWX I1 WAX +47 186
>Joshua_Sokol: EIJKLNT 12A JI.L +38 236
#note His last play having destabilitzed me, I now make a play without thoroughly assessing my other options. I could play JE(L)L and keep INK for (J)INK, but he's likely to hit the J spot too and so it's really just shooting myself in the foot half of the time. I could also play (R)ELINK for 40 at B1, which seems interesting. I can hit a J play next turn relatively often and I am blocking lanes. I could also play JILT, which I considered, but I thought keeping the T was better than the L. Think about the L is that I get RELINK again around 15% of the time or something, so that might tip the balance one way. So yeah, I think JILT is slightly better than JILL. Quackle says I'm scoring 4 more and hitting a bingo 5% more often with JILT, so I must have just mis-assessed the leaves here. Weird. Otherwise a play that scores with the J and gives nothing back is the slick 4G J(E)E, which I spaced on for this turn only because of WAX having tilted me ever so slightly. I think I should have played JEE here, despite the leave being markedly worse.

>Michael_Fagen: ?DEGIOR 15A .tODGIER +83 311
>Joshua_Sokol: AEGINNT 2G E..NATING +78 348
#note Glad to have taken the time to spot this. It's the best bingo available and scores 4 more points than the next best.
>Michael_Fagen: ADEIRSU 14G RESIDUA +64 375
#note But I couldn't help but tilt again when this game down. He's not supposed to hit a bingo bango at this stage of the game, but I guess I should have played another bingo to block this...
>Joshua_Sokol: ELOOOQY 8L .OLO +24 372
#note I'm now in really awful shape with my draw. What do I do? Do I need to exchange? I feel like any benefit exchanging has equity-wise is completely overrun by the fact that I'm only scoring 0 and what that does psychologically to Michael. KOLO gives the impression that I'm still catching up when I'm rather way behind because of the Q. I guess I really just need to exchange keeping EL and hope he runs into tile trouble or I hit a miracle.
>Michael_Fagen: AEHS 15L HAES +44 419
>Joshua_Sokol: EFIOOQY 13J QI +25 397
#note Do I play 6I OF and leave the mystery to Michael about where the Q is? Perhaps this would have induced an error, but I'm really counting peanuts here. I figured I could win if he played G1 D(E)V after this and left himself vulnerable in the endgame, but I don't think the math checks out. I guess I play 6I OF and hope he screws up thinking he'll draw the Q.
>Michael_Fagen: CDEIM 12K MEDIC +32 451
#note Michael doesn't budge and makes a very good pre-endgame play.
>Joshua_Sokol: BEFOOTY B1 .OOFEY +40 437
#note At least I can get away with this now...
>Michael_Fagen: NOUV N6 VU.N +15 466
>Joshua_Sokol: BT M1 B.T +10 447
#note I played this game really well. Shame things didn't go my way. Not much to think about really it seems. I needed to do something weird to win I guess.
