>Joshua_Sokol: AINOTUX H7 XU +18 18
#note Always play XU when it's close between XU and a longer play. Josh's words of wisdom.
>Sharmaine_Farini: IQ I6 QI +22 22
#note it may even lead to something great like this.
>Joshua_Sokol: AIIKNOT J5 KI +21 39
#note And even this.
>Sharmaine_Farini: IL K4 LI +16 38
#note and finally this!!!
>Joshua_Sokol: ADEINOT L4 ODA +20 59
#note Alright, that was fun, let's continue to play on a low-entropy board but at least leave myself with possibilities if she manages to pull ahead. ADO reduces her bingo chances from 13% to 11% when compared with ODA, and increases mine from 40 to a bit less than 42% 7G O(XI)D was too aggressive for me at this stage of the game, although I would play that against other opponents. I want Sharmaine to keep trying to hit a 60-point bingo.
>Sharmaine_Farini: IIII -IIII +0 38
>Joshua_Sokol: DEFIINT 7F FI..T +23 82
#note This is bad!!!! I didn't remember that FIXIT now takes an S. I would have snap-challenge a (FIXIT)S play by her! :@
>Sharmaine_Farini: ADO 8D ODA +10 48
#note lol low-entropy boards are so much fun.
>Joshua_Sokol: ADEINSY 7F .....Y +19 101
#note Sim likes YA equally well. No need to create more chances for her now though, I would say. She has possibly been building up her rack towards something for 2 turns.
>Sharmaine_Farini: AEENRR 8J EARNER +34 82
>Joshua_Sokol: ADEINOS C3 ANODISE +75 176
#note Isn't it hilarious that I only saw ANEROIDS through the R after seeing ANODISE instantly on this rack? To me it's far from funny. This is the 3rd top-1000 probability 8 I have missed in 2 games thus far. It seems the nightmare of years past has returned. Missing ANEROID and a plethora of top 8s and 7s has seemingly not encouraged me to consistently review the high probs.
>Sharmaine_Farini: EZ N6 ZE. +32 114
>Joshua_Sokol: ACELORR 10A CAROLER +72 248
#note And then I was about to play something for like 20 points when I finally saw the R-hook on ANODISE. Jesus save me. Held and released.
>Sharmaine_Farini: EIV A8 VI.E +27 141
>Joshua_Sokol: AEMRSWY H10 SWARMY +55 303
#note I was totally ready to play D3 MEW, keep ARSY for the possibility of extending VICE to VICENARY or VICEROYS, until I realized I could play this for many points. Unfortunately, SWARMY* is a common phony, and Sharmaine was just a bit too intimidated to challenge me. SAWYER was missed, and is probably just as good as SWARMY, if not better.
>Sharmaine_Farini: DFI 11D FID +26 167
>Joshua_Sokol: AELNPTT 15A PATENTL. +92 395
#note but none of this matters. Also wow PANTALET is a word I didn't know.
>Sharmaine_Farini: LV 12G L.V +6 173
>Joshua_Sokol: ?CEGIMU 4A Gy.ECIUM +84 479
#note so lucky she didn't play LAV at 3B instead. Only other 8 with this rack is MUCILAGE. Gotta learn these words someday.
>Sharmaine_Farini: AGU H1 GAU. +21 194
>Joshua_Sokol: BEEEHIJ 14B HEBE +36 515
#note best equity play PLUS it sets my J up. I haven't had a lucky game like this in a many tournaments.
>Sharmaine_Farini: ?HNOSST 1B HOSTiN.S +62 256
>Sharmaine_Farini: ?HNOSST -- -62 194
#note I have checked the validity of HOSTINGS* many times, and still wasn't entirely sure what the result of the challenge would be. INGS words, man. Even trickier in Collins. Not looking forward to that.
>Joshua_Sokol: EGIJOPR 13C JOG +51 566
#note Now it's probably finally solid. HOSTINGS* GHOSTINGS. She was running low on time here, so I decided I wouldn't even look to see if she had anything that played. GUNSHOTS was 95 and ASTONISH played from the A, but it's unlikely that she would see those after losing a challenge to a play she had spent a couple minutes finding. Am I even allowed to think about her other options when I'm walking to and from the challenge computer? Hmm...

Anyways, I am totally cool with taking the 20-point risk of letting her have a bingo here. Although, if it came to it, I might have been more inclined to play JOG(G)ER or JIG(G)ER at A1 to prevent her from getting two bingos in a row.
>Sharmaine_Farini: ?HNOSST M3 HOS +24 218
#note JOG at M2 blocked all of her bingos except SHOT(G)UNS. JI(A)O was the best complete block. But as anticipated she misses her bingos yet again.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEINPRW N2 WAP +27 593
#note Without an inference champ gives precedence to N1 WRAP, which I also considered. With the correct inference of NST? though, a simulation favors my play by 3.3 points over the next best option. I figured that a one-tile fish wasn't super likely to hit. I didn't think I was going to get the chance to fish twice, so it seemed like a stronger, higher-scoring fish was the right way to go. Did I miss something? I can't block the whole board now, so I might as well go for my own bingo.
>Sharmaine_Farini: ?BNOST O1 BOTS +40 258
>Joshua_Sokol: EINNORU J11 RENIN +14 607
#note -11 to A1 5s, because she can slow-play me after RENIN. Not gonna happen, I'll take the best play if she goes out. This blocks outs that score 3 more points than hers and leaves one fewer tile on my rack, making it 5 points stronger than its face value compareed to ROU(G)E, REI(G)N or ERU(G)O, which score 18. This is 1 point better than ROUGE if she doesn't solve the endgame.
>Sharmaine_Farini: ?ENTT 11J .oTTEN +10 268
#note She didn't solve the endgame.
>Sharmaine_Farini: (OU) +4 272
#note Congrats to Wayne Barclay on outdoing this high game with his own 609, likely miscounted but probably higher than 607. :)
