#note dunno. EAU at M1 is pretty cool because it creates a spot for a high-scoring bingo or play that I can attempt to hit for a few turns, and it may not be that easy for Paul to block. I'm OK with my play because I feel it maximizes my chances of bingoing right away.

#note x6 in search of the Z? his last play suggests that a) he didn't have the Z and b) he has a couple more one-point consonants. therefore, as long as he doesn't bingo, I felt like I had a reasonable chance just to chase him down even without hitting the Z.

#note the only bingo I can possibly draw for is METAZOAL on column A for 110 (1/36 chance), which would probably win me the game if he doesn't block. Is that a better try than playing ZA at 14J and hoping he phonies/loses his mind? Mm, probably. I can play VIS at 9C to block the best Q spot on the board (assuming I'm drawing the T), but I probably want to leave QIS for 22 open to trick him into not blocking METAZOAL.

#note couldn't come up with a play that didn't suck under time pressure, but I'm down too far for it to matter.
