#player2 Jason_Ubeika Jason Ubeika
>Mina: AADLOTT 8G TAD +8 8
#note Rough start. Four of the five best plays are DATTO, which I didn't know.
>Jason_Ubeika: AELNV 7F VENAL +19 19
>Mina: ACELOTU 6I CAUL +18 26
#note Ninth best. Saw LOCULATE and regretted not being able to play it, but didn't know OCULATE was a word, wow!! It's the best play at 9I, followed distantly by 9G ATOC for 20 leaving ELU.
>Jason_Ubeika: CDRUY M3 CURDY +38 57
>Mina: EHIIIOT 9H HIOI +22 48
#note Best play.
>Jason_Ubeika: GU L4 GU. +16 73
>Mina: AEFGITT K8 G.FT +16 64
#note Fourth best. The leave after 10I EFT is worse, but the score of 37 is so much better that Quackle favors it. Didn't know CADIE tho!
>Jason_Ubeika: EEPS L9 SEEP +27 100
#note Eep, telegraphing an S.
>Mina: AEEIJRT M11 EEJIT +31 95
#note Very close second-best play, after M11 TAJ for 27 leaving EEIR. Is EEIR really so much better than AR as a leave that it's worth sacrificing four points for? The cross-tables leave evaluator says AR is a *better* leave than EEIR by four points. Well, I guess the issue is that EEJIT hangs a letter in the triple lane and he's already shown himself to have an S.
>Jason_Ubeika: ADW N12 WAD +37 137
#note Forkin' it!
>Mina: AILNORT 15M .IN +17 112
#note I hate racks full of one-pointers that don't bingo. Quackle, which usually encourages fishing to juicy leaves in this circumstance, is surprisingly recommending 15J LAT(T)IN for 29 leaving OR, which leaves you so little control over your next rack when you're already behind. Its second choice is 15K LO(T)TA for 26; I'd forgotten WAD took a -T! I decided to go for keeping *more* of the pretty tiles. My play is seventh best; should have done (T)IL, which is fourth best, for a better leave, d'oh.
>Jason_Ubeika: AIMNSZ O7 NIZAMS +64 201
>Jason_Ubeika: OO (challenge) +5 206
#note For some reason I didn't recognize the word, even though of course I've studied the JQXZ fives. I could only remember ZIRAM.
>Mina: AELLORT 15H ROLLA... +27 139
#note Ugh, another trash rack. Among the choices available on Quackle, none score more than 10. I decided to go hog wild and make up a word out of thin air, in order to turn over tiles, score, *and* generate a bingo lane on this bingo-unfriendly board. Fortunately it didn't get held or challenged.
>Jason_Ubeika: OO N7 OO +10 216
>Mina: EEEEOQT -EEEQ +0 139
#note Can't catch a break. Surprisingly, Quackle recommends the following leaves, in order: ET, followed by E, followed by no leave at all. I overvalued a leave of EOT. I think it must be because both blanks are still out, so I should turn over more.
>Jason_Ubeika: ?ENOORS 14B ONShORE +68 284
#note He takes the bingo lane that I'd set up for myself.
>Mina: BEKNOTT 15A KNOT +34 173
#note Best play. My win percentage is now 0.38% at best.
>Jason_Ubeika: W G6 W.. +6 290
>Mina: ABBEETU D8 BEAUTE.. +26 199
#note A close second-best to 14K AB(ID)E for 16 leaving BETU! What's so great about a leave of BETU? I guess Quackle is saying not to shut down my chance to play a nine-letter bingo ending with -ST on column D? I mean, I really have little chance of anything at this point, and my play is The Equity Play.
>Jason_Ubeika: IPT E11 PIT. +22 312
>Mina: BEEMOSY 8A MOB.Y +42 241
>Mina: EEFGIRS (challenge) +5 246
#note Oof, Quackle is right here. It favors C7 MOBEY for 39 leaving ES, which is of course infinitely superior to what I played because of the lovely bingo lane it creates, and it scores only 3 points less. This play takes more cleverness to find than mine did, though.
>Jason_Ubeika: IQ 13A QI +14 326
>Mina: EEFGIRS J3 FER.. +8 254
#note I had absolutely the right idea here, which was to open up the board, but I didn't know FERI(AL), which Quackle reasonably deems the best play (in the same spot) since it scores more and opens up one more lane.
>Jason_Ubeika: EX 9A EX +22 348
#note Of course, he shuts down lanes.
>Mina: AEGIRSV 4C REVISAG. +76 330
>Mina: AEGIRSV -- -76 254
#note There is now one tile left in the bag. My sevens don't play. I have a win percentage of 0.00%. Championship Player is telling me to play F14 (O)I for 2, but I have no idea why it would tell me that. It's time to desperation-phony.
>Jason_Ubeika: ?DEHINR 7A EH +23 371
>Mina: AEGIRSV 10F VIS +21 275
#note NAHS* is no good, folks.
>Jason_Ubeika: ?ADINR I2 NID +14 385
#note He has many six-tile outplays ending in the E, not that it matters.
>Mina: AEGR 12D ..RAGE +9 284
>Mina: (challenge) +5 289
>Mina: (AR?) +4 293
