>Morris_Greenberg: ABCEGJO 8G JOG +22 22
>Rafi_Stern: DEILNSU H5 INS.ULED +61 61
#note Felt like this was a bit better than INDULGES/DUELINGS, as it gives back fewer immediate points.
>Morris_Greenberg: ABCEERW 12B BEWARE. +26 48
#note Quackle likes B(L)EW 10G or WEB G11 about 2% more. I am not a huge fan of either. B(L)EW makes it pretty easy for Rafi to shut down the board with tempo. WEB makes the game quickly reliant on S's though, and I am not holding any of them here. I opted to play longer and for more points here as a result, but perhaps I am off.
>Rafi_Stern: IKNNSTT E11 T.NK +16 77
#note Could have, should have, would have played KITTEN...
>Morris_Greenberg: ?ACCOOR 15D RACCOOn +92 140
#note MG: Rafi held this for over 7 minutes. RS: Morris proclaimed "blank is an N, as in Norris."
>Rafi_Stern: EHINSTT 6E THI.NEST +71 148
#note ... if I hadn't forgotten about TANKA. I don't think I have ever seen TANKA played in all my years of Scrabble, and it seems like a word that would come up often enough to be super obvious. I wrote it 7 times on my score sheet (https://ibb.co/cRYmNF), and thought about how long Morris had spent thinking about it (not long) and also, why would Morris make up TANKA with the N open? After several minutes of thought I decided it just had to be good, and I played my bingo.
>Morris_Greenberg: EILMOQW 13A WOME. +37 177
>Rafi_Stern: AEEELNO 5A LOANEE +21 169
#note MG: Some sweet gopiking opportunities here. RS: Yup, I missed ALIENEE/EOLIAN through the I. Sweet overlaps that I might have found if I hadn't spent 7 precious minutes holding TANKA. "What do you do when the math equals the math?"
>Morris_Greenberg: AAAILQS L4 QA. +24 201
>Rafi_Stern: BEEEFIX A1 FEEB.E +42 211
#note MG: Rafi picked up the other 2 letters on his rack just because he could. RS: I scared Morris for a second by feigning the triple triple. Nice to play FEEBLE here holding the X for next turn. Also note the depletion of E's.
>Morris_Greenberg: AADHILS 14I DAHLIAS +82 283
#note I think I completely whiffed on the fact that I could pluralize RACCOON here. H(E)ADSAIL is also pretty.
>Rafi_Stern: AIMOORX 14A OXO +54 265
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AEGORZ O11 GRO.Z +48 331
#note ZAG 4C is the valuation play, but I'd rather not blow this with a triple-triple.
>Rafi_Stern: AIIMRVY C2 AVI.RY +32 297
#note Missed IVY, and passed up MIRY. While the A in AVIARY isn't a high scoring bingo lane, it's a lane that will be difficult to block without sacrificing points.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AEIINU M2 UNI +17 348
#note qUINIE(L)A L8. I remember seeing the possibility of the AQUILINE/QUINIELA, I don't know how I whiffed on this spot.
>Rafi_Stern: ILMPSTV M13 V.M +16 313
#note UNI probably means Morris is quite strong, so I'm not in good shape here. I probably should have made a play keeping the M for MUNI. Maybe VILL or PELVIS instead, as Quackle suggests? My play of VIM supposedly bingoes 25% of the time... I did see some decent QIS options and stuff like PLAIT(E)RS. Not sure exactly what to do here.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?ADEIRT 1I READmIT +80 428
#note I forgot about the P front hook here. I was fast playing Rafi a bit here, since he used so much time at the beginning thining about (TANK)A. If I took a bit more time, I am sure I would've seen A(S)TERoID for 86 as a double-double. RS: With my second place dreams nearly dashed, tears were streaming down my face as Morris boastfully proclaimed "blank is an M, as in Morris."
>Rafi_Stern: AILPPST H1 PIP +51 364
#note Actually... I still have a bit of a chance here. I apparently bingo 23% after PIP (although this number is far from accurant as Morris will block some spots). I need Morris to have a horrible rack and to draw a miracle.
>Morris_Greenberg: EFGINUY 10F UG.IFY +23 451
#note I saw that (T)ITULARS O1 would tie the game after this, but no other rack ties or wins. I also noticed that blocking that lane with something like (T)YING loses to A(L)TRUIST 10G. I failed to notice 2 things: (1) F(L)EYING nets 1 more point than UG(L)IFY, so that will win always instead of tying 1/36 times, and (2) I don't need to empty the bag here! If I play (WO)G or (BOX)Y now, that always wins too. I thought I figured out this endgame very nicely, but those are 2 big gaps I missed. It would be karmic to only get the tie here, but I am a luckbox.
>Rafi_Stern: ADLRSTT A1 ......ST +39 403
>Morris_Greenberg: EINU 2M .NI +12 463
>Rafi_Stern: ADLRT B7 LARD +17 420
>Morris_Greenberg: EU J10 .EU +6 469
#note MG: A13 (WO)E nets 2 more, as grandmaster Will Anderson would later point out to me, the mere serf. RS: The TANK/extended hold of TANKA is what did me in this game, as I might have seen better options on the LOANEE and AVIARY turns.
>Morris_Greenberg: (T) +2 471
