>Joe_Edley: AEFIRSS 8D FRAISES +78 78
>Jim_Burlant: CEENQTT G7 Q. +21 21
#note This was round 14, and I entered this game emotionally and mentally exhausted by the two difficult games I endured in rounds 12 and 13. As you'll see here, it was clear in retrospect that the fatigue was showing. As for this position: wouldn't have thought unloading a duplicated T would have been worth 9 scoreboard points, but that's what the sim suggests.
>Joe_Edley: ADKN 7I DANK +18 96
>Jim_Burlant: CEENTTT J6 T..TE +9 30
#note Are you kidding me? I draw a third T out of a full bag? No really good options here - I don't think it's worth it to blow the rack apart for 17 points with CASETTE. If you don't like that, this is next best. 19% to win.
>Joe_Edley: ADEZ 8L ADZE +52 148
>Jim_Burlant: CEENRTT M8 .ETECT +20 50
#note Not sure I like the fishing options here. Quackle prefers 9L TE and L7 KAT. I don't like leaving 4 consonants to only 1 vowel. Since the short game wasn't working, I figured that maybe I should try the long game? That said, DECENT would have been a smidgen better since it doesn't give up the S hook.
>Joe_Edley: IINOR 12H IRONI. +18 166
>Jim_Burlant: AEENORV E5 OVE.NEAR +94 144
#note Best bingo. Back in the game at just shy of 30%. Joe held this, opining out loud that he thought I also have OVEREARN*, so he let it go. Too bad for me he didn't challenge.
>Joe_Edley: BILR H11 L.BRI +21 187
>Jim_Burlant: ?CDMNNR -DMN +0 144
#note Not sure I like any of the optiins here - 15G MIND defends the board, and MEND at 11L and 10D play for nothing and give back way more. Not sure if I should exchange, but I don't know if playing through is better.
>Joe_Edley: ADLW 14G D.AWL +17 204
>Jim_Burlant: ?CNORUY D1 UNCOY +27 171
#note I sensed after the game that I had missed something here, and this is in all probability the turn that lost me the game. If you whiff on the bingo as I did, this is your best choice. But that's no excuse for not finding CYNOsUR(E) down the O column. CYNOsUR(E) wins 62%. This wins 40.
>Joe_Edley: EGU 2B GE.U +10 214
>Jim_Burlant: ?INRTUW 1D .NWIT +26 197
#note WUZ N6 is a bit better. This is next best.
>Joe_Edley: AEGILST O8 .GALITES +80 294
#note If I find CYNOsURE a couple of turns ago, what is he doing with this?
>Jim_Burlant: ?EJORUV F3 JEU +16 213
#note Yeah, way to go. I never saw JUROR 12A for 40. Sad but true.
>Joe_Edley: AOP D10 APO +20 314
>Jim_Burlant: ?EHOORV 2H OVERHOt +80 293
#note Only bingo. At least I get one play right.
>Joe_Edley: GMU 1M MUG +23 337
>Jim_Burlant: ?ADFLOO C12 FOO +18 311
#note Setup play. With nowhere to play OFfLOAD, my thought process was that if I set up a 15A play, he'd cover and, in the process, open up a bingo line. The duck says I sould play FOOD and not try to set myself up. Regardless, it wouldn't have mattered.
>Joe_Edley: AHI N13 AHI +27 364
>Jim_Burlant: ?ABDLNX 15A BALD +34 345
#note I should probably just play FALX 15A for 61, but whatever. I figured to cash the X at 11L on the next turn.
>Joe_Edley: EIMPRSY L1 S.IP +28 392
>Jim_Burlant: ?MNX 11K aX. +29 374
#note As poorly as I played, I'm fortunate to have only lost by 35. Spotty effort and the end of the day really came at an opportune time. I'd like to see what i could have done with these tiles if I had been fresh.
>Joe_Edley: EIRY 4F .YRIE +9 401
